I grew up watching Guiding Light in small town Iowa. Years later, I worked in a New York City newsroom just steps away from the show's sets in the CBS Broadcast Center.
I wandered the halls. I met the actors. I watched the sets get dismantled when the show moved to Peapack, New Jersey and was later cancelled. I walked past framed photos of Josh and Reva sitting in trash piles as the lights went out for good.
This is a serialized memoir about being both a lifelong fan and an accidental insider.
