Romance was everywhere on Wednesday's Y&R, but trust? Not so much. The Young and the Restless couples served up fancy drinks, grand gestures, and big promises—but don’t be fooled, not everyone’s sipping the same kind of happy hour.

The Great Indoors: Jack & Diane’s Fancy Night In
Jack and Diane got all dolled up like they were headed to some five-star soirĂ©e, only for Jack to pull a fast one—no dinner reservations, just candles, martinis, and some good old-fashioned staying home. He’s basically turned their living room into a love nest. Diane’s feeling the love, until Jack drops the bomb that Traci and Ashley are coming home to check out her decorating skills. Cue the panic. Diane wanted applause, not a panel of Abbott judges. But Jack? He’s talking honeymoons and forever nights like he’s still in his 30s.
Victor’s Champagne Campaign: Nikki's Birthday Bonanza Begins
Over at Casa Newman, Victor is on a mission to smother Nikki in petals, bubbles, and flattery. She’s barely started her birthday countdown and already swimming in flowers. Victor raises his glass, makes big promises, and swears he and Claire are throwing her the bash of the century. Nikki’s convinced her granddaughter will land a corner office at this rate, and Victor’s soaking up every ounce of admiration like it’s vintage Scotch.
Lauren’s Jazz Club Surprise: Romance, Regret, and One Big Ask
Michael, always the dramatist, sneaks up on Lauren like he’s in a rom-com. Cue the neck nuzzling and over-the-top I love yous. He rented out the entire jazz lounge—yes,
rented out—to play catch-up for all the time he's spent glued to Victor’s side. Romantic? Yes. Transparent? Very. Lauren’s touched, but let’s not pretend she’s forgotten the years of emotional third-wheeling with Michael’s boss.
From Glam to Guilt: Michael’s Revelation Shakes Lauren
While spinning Lauren around the dance floor, Michael decides it’s story time. He dusts off the ancient scroll of regrets: Remember when he worked for Victor and blackmailed Lauren into bribing retailers? Yep, he’s pulling that one out of the vault. She’s not just stunned—she’s straight-up triggered. And when he drops the “I’ve been Victor’s pawn for years” line, it hits hard. Michael promises he’s cutting ties for good. Lauren’s hugging, but her side-eye says she’ll believe it when she sees it.
Nikki Gets a Locket, Victor Gets a Trophy
Victor surprises Nikki with a teeny-tiny photo locket. She’s shocked he found a miniature photo of her, Victoria, and Claire small enough to fit. (Girl, it’s called a printer.) Victor brags he can get anything done (something tells us these two print out memes to share with the grandkids). The locket’s engraved with “Strength, Courage, Beauty”—a nod that suspiciously sounds like Ashley’s old tagline, but okay. Victor beams like a toddler who finally used the potty, proud of clasping it around her neck.
Jack Plans Paradise, Diane Worries About Abbott Judgment Day
Back at the Abbott estate, Jack’s rambling about love and interior design like he’s the host of HGTV’s
Romance Renovations. Diane smiles but clearly isn’t ready for Ashley’s possible meltdown over the new decor. Still, Jack’s on a roll—talking honeymoons, late nights, and eternal bliss. Somebody get this man a calendar, because his vision board is locked in 1995.
Flashbacks, Strip Clubs, and Cringe
Victor and Nikki take a detour down memory lane, all the way back to her stripping days—yes, he
moaned remembering it. Nikki giggles and even grazes Victor’s neck flap in a moment that should’ve been sweet but somehow came off like a weird infomercial for aging seduction.
Decisions, Decisions: Is Michael Really Out?
Lauren wants to believe Michael’s ready to leave Victor behind, but let’s not ignore the twitch in his brow that screams “maybe not.” She’s hopeful, he’s remorseful, and we’re all just waiting to see how long this resolution lasts before Victor lures him back with another “important mission.”
Final Toasts and Forever Promises
Diane declares her love. Jack promises late nights with no bedtime (as if they aren’t both lights-out by 10). Nikki and Victor are giggling like newlyweds and planning a celebration that’s sure to be extra. Lauren, meanwhile, clings to hope that this is the last chapter of the
Michael Works for Victor saga.
