Y&R Recap | Audra Lurks in the Shadows as Kyle and Claire Plot Their Power Move - Tuesday, May 20, 2025 [SPOILERS]

Tuesday's The Young and the Restless full episode recap includes Victoria’s bold invite to a lurking Audra with schemes galore. Let’s dive right in!

Audra | Y&R, CBS SONY

Victoria Wants Her Man Close — Real Close

Cole may have gone missing for a minute, but he’s back and instantly swept into Victoria and Nick’s patio pow-wow. All concerned parties shared the same sentiment: Cole’s health is shaky, and his return is a relief. But Victoria doesn’t stop at sympathy. Oh no, she goes full throttle by asking him to move into the tackhouse. Romantic? A little. Calculated? Absolutely. Turns out, Claire was the first one to suggest it. Cute.

Johnny and Katie? Completely unbothered. They assumed Cole was already living there. Honestly, same.

Claire Drops Croissants and Bombshells at the Ranch

Claire strolls into Victor’s place with chocolate croissants in hand and plenty to say. Grandpa isn't thrilled about Kyle (join the club), but Claire’s got her strategy mapped out. She’s not giving up her relationship, and she’s definitely not giving up her grandfather either. She's pressing pause on the whole moving-in-together situation with Kyle but confirms they're still going strong. Victor, reluctantly impressed, decides not to push. Wise.

Then Claire tops it off with a sweet request: help her plan Nikki’s birthday bash. How’s that for distraction?

Kyle, Holden and a Cocktail of Tension at Society

Kyle’s innocent night out turns spicy real quick when Holden corners him with charm and flattery. After reading up on Kyle’s Jabot moves, Holden suggests a drink, and just like that, Kyle’s at the bar. Audra walks in, clocks the duo, and barely manages to keep the eye roll internal.

The drama thickens fast. Audra snarks that Kyle’s just being nosy, Holden pokes around about their explosive past, and we find out their failed cosmetics venture still stings. But don’t worry, Audra’s here to let Kyle know she hasn’t lost her bite—and he’s about to feel it. Hard.

Nick’s Feeling Like the Odd Man Out

Nick senses he’s the unwanted third wheel when Cole and Victoria get cozy. He ditches the lovebirds to chat with Sharon inside. Naturally, conversation turns to Phyllis. There’s tension, Sharon senses it, and she suspects Nick might still be drawn to Phyllis’s signature damsel-in-distress routine. Nick shuts that theory down fast—but not convincingly enough for Sharon.

Audra’s All Edge, No Chill

Once Kyle exits Society with takeout, Audra unleashes on Holden. What’s his angle? Why is he so into Kyle and her broken history? He pokes the bear, suggesting her fallout with Kyle was more personal than professional. She snaps back that Kyle’s not her business anymore. But Holden isn’t buying it. According to him, the sparks are still flying—and he’s dying to play firefighter.

Claire’s Secret Agenda: Win Grandpa, Keep Kyle

Claire catches up with Kyle in the park and updates him on Victor’s approval—well, sort of. She’s playing the long game, and that means scheming behind grandpa’s back while flashing a smile. Kyle’s onboard and knows he has to make a grand gesture soon. Winning over Victor’s no easy feat, but Claire believes he can do it. After all, he won her over, didn’t he?

Sharon Sees Through the Red Hair and Drama

Sharon gives Nick her take on Phyllis: vulnerable, lost, a little tragic. And she’s pretty sure Nick is the kind of guy who loves a fixer-upper. Nick denies it, but Sharon can’t help wondering if Phyllis’ distress is tugging at his old heartstrings.

Family First and Sappy Lovebirds

Claire’s feeling all the warm fuzzies from Nikki’s support and is flattered her grandmother might be grooming her for the future. Claire and Victor agree to team up for the party. Meanwhile, Victoria and Cole continue their “we were robbed of a family” melodrama. Victoria’s laying it on thick. If he gets sick again, she’ll play Florence Nightingale. Cole’s sold—and officially moving in.

Nick and Sharon: Just Friends... Maybe

Nick and Sharon pretend they’re cool with just being friends. They even agreed in London that it’s better this way. But the longing glances? The cozy dinner plans? Come on. Sharon’s trying hard to look unfazed, but getting friend-zoned isn’t exactly her dream ending.

Audra and Kyle: A Dangerous Game

Back to our schemer-in-chief. Audra flashes back to her deal with Victor—reel Kyle in, and get paid. She sends Kyle a text dripping in faux sincerity, and he actually grins at it. Claire clocks that reaction and does not approve. Kyle claims he’s got this under control. He beat her once with Glissade, and he’ll do it again. But Audra’s already calling Victor—time to pay up, because Kyle’s falling into her trap like a moth to a bonfire.

One Big, Dysfunctional Soap Family

Victoria and Cole continue swooning. Nick and Sharon dance around their not-so-dead feelings. Claire schemes to get her man accepted by the Newman patriarch. And Audra? She’s playing two games at once, and neither is safe.
