Days of Our Lives Recap - Thursday, June 5, 2025 | Cat Gets Airborne with Chad as Jennifer Seethes & Doug Drowns in Drama

If you thought Salem was going to take it easy after John’s death, think again. Cat Greene’s got eyes on Marlena’s family photos, Jennifer’s about to pop a blood vessel, and Doug? He’s playing teen Casanova while dodging loan sharks. Thursday's Days of Our Lives recap is messy, emotional, and oh-so juicy.

Cat & Chad | DOOL, Peacock

Jennifer Hits Her Boiling Point Over Chad and Cat

Chad’s still trying to play it cool, but let’s be real—skydiving with a woman who clearly wants more than air between them is not the move when you’re still grieving Abigail. Chad shows up at The Spectator to wrap up John’s obituary, but even that turns into a Leo sass-fest. Leo thinks Chad should cancel the charity date if Cat’s still hung up on him—and also, hello, jumping out of a plane is nuts when you’re emotionally unavailable. Chad agrees, until Cat pulls her “let’s feel alive!” speech and drags him toward the danger zone.

Meanwhile, Julie casually mentions the skydiving date to Jennifer, and girl loses her mind. The woman was already emotionally frayed after coming back to Salem, but hearing her son-in-law is entertaining a potential rebound? That’s nuclear-level rage. Jennifer storms into Jack’s return with fire in her eyes, and let’s just say peace and quiet are not on the itinerary.

Cat’s Flashback Moment and Tate’s Emotional Shutdown

Cat’s visit to Marlena’s turns into something unexpected when a family photo stops her in her tracks. One look at Sami’s picture and Cat’s haunted—like she knows her but can’t figure out why. She gets visibly shaken seeing John’s photo and reveals, to no one in particular, that she owes him everything because he helped her mother and grandmother escape abuse. So, while everyone’s assuming she’s just a flirty skydiving enthusiast, there’s clearly way more to Cat’s story.

Tate walks in, emotionally raw from losing his grandfather, and finds Cat lingering in his home. He tries to keep it together, but his feelings spill out as he calls John a hero and disappears to collect himself. Cat, alone again, whispers an apology to John’s photo. Oh yes—Salem has not seen the last of her secrets.

Doug’s Love Life and Loan Problems Collide

Doug is doing the absolute most for a man his age—and it’s all headed for disaster. First, he’s behind the bar at the Pub, dodging calls about missed payments, then he’s giving Ari googly eyes and awkward energy while she flirts shamelessly. The moment Holly shows up, Doug shifts into full panic mode. She has no idea about John’s death and bolts to check on Tate. Ari reassures Doug she’s 18, and they agree to hang out again—unaware that someone is creepily snapping photos of them from outside.

Later, Doug confesses to Leo that he’s juggling two women and being hunted down by a loan shark. Leo’s advice? Don’t get caught with the girls and make some fast cash. That’s it. No moral compass here—just survival instinct and scandal maintenance. Priorities!

Ari’s Got a Stalker, and Leo’s Got Depth

As Ari strolls through the Square like she doesn’t have a dozen issues waiting to blow up, someone’s busy taking covert pics of her like it’s Salem's version of TMZ. She’s mourning her great-grandfather, trying to juggle her dad’s disapproval, and living under the same roof as Leo Stark—which she hates, by the way. The girl needs a break, not a stalker.

Back at The Spectator, Leo—our favorite snarky mess—leaves a heartfelt voicemail for Marlena and shows surprising vulnerability when Jack drops by. The two share a moment over their complicated parents, and Leo finally admits he tried rewriting his past by pretending John could’ve been his father. Jack actually relates. It’s shockingly heartfelt, especially considering how much sarcasm was flying earlier.

Gabi’s Paranoia, Rafe’s Mission, and Holly’s Surprise Visit

Gabi is spiraling. She thinks Leo took the memory stick that may or may not hold footage from the night EJ was shot. Rafe’s back early from training, working cases from the Chicago office, and he’s trying to keep Gabi calm. But let’s face it—when Gabi panics, Salem shakes. She swears she didn’t shoot EJ, just heard the argument. Rafe worries the shooter found the camera and erased the only evidence left. Whoops.

Elsewhere, Holly pulls a surprise pop-in on Tate. She says she still cares, and while he’s stunned, she assures him nothing is going on with Doug—who she insists is just a friend. Tate apologizes for the whole necklace debacle and admits he misses her. It’s sweet, it’s awkward, and it’s very Salem teen drama. Their heart-to-heart ends when Sophia texts Tate about their hospital tour. Holly’s clearly not over him, and he’s not over her either. Classic DOOL heartbreak brewing.

So there you have it: skydiving dates, secrets in framed photos, teen crushes, stalker sightings, and Jennifer’s blood pressure skyrocketing. Just another day in Salem. Soap Opera Reviews brings you daily spoilers and recaps so you never miss a thing. We live for the drama!
