Three things took center stage on Friday’s episode of Days of Our Lives: Sophia decided to debut her birthing instincts right at graduation, Rachel spilled a little too much while napping, and EJ kept trying to play clean-up crew in his own disaster zone. From teen chaos to DiMera drama, Salem was doing the absolute most for a Friday in June and we’re not mad about it.

Labor Pains, But Make It a Graduation Accessory
Holly was trying to enjoy her big day until Sophia had other plans. Right as everyone was smiling for diplomas and ignoring all their emotional baggage, Sophia suddenly clutched her belly and claimed labor had begun. Off she went, with Aaron and Tate springing into full panic mode. Meanwhile, Holly was quietly freaking out that Tate and Sophia still didn’t have adoptive parents lined up. Because nothing says teen romance like, “Who's going to raise our baby?”
At the hospital, it was pretty chaotic. Amy was in a full spiral, Tate was trying not to combust, and Brady got caught in the teen tornado after swinging by with Rachel, who’d just vomited her way out of graduation. And after all that drama? False alarm. That’s right. Sophia’s uterus said, “Just kidding.” No baby, no diploma moment, just a wheeled-out apology and a promise to line up parents ASAP. Somebody give that girl a cold compress and a break.
Rachel’s Bedtime Confession Raises Eyebrows
Over in the land of way-too-observant kids, Rachel had a session with Dr. Sarah and dropped some vaguely ominous hints. After tossing her cookies and confusing everyone at the hospital, she finally opened up—kind of. She admitted she hears and sees things she shouldn’t, right before a nurse came in and ruined the vibe. But the real kicker came later, when she dozed off next to Marlena and suddenly shouted in her sleep, “No! Don’t shoot him!”
Excuse me? Is this kid moonlighting as a crime witness in her REM cycle? Because that sleepy scream wasn’t just some spooky dream. Marlena’s face said it all—this secret’s about to hit the fan, and soon.
EJ’s DiMera Damage Control Tour Continues
EJ spent the day with people barging in and throwing shade like it was confetti. First up, Brady showed up to collect Rachel, only to call him out for helping Johnny dodge consequences. Then Chanel came stomping in like a woman on a mission, accusing EJ of making Johnny question whether he could ever be a good dad. EJ tried to stay unbothered, muttering something about “bonded by blood,” but Chanel wasn’t hearing it. She threatened him the way only a furious woman can—clearly, she’s done playing nice.
Later, he had a dramatic one-on-one with Stefano’s portrait (classic), then urgently called Rita about a memory stick. We don’t know what’s on it yet, but given Rachel’s sleep-screaming and EJ’s sudden desperation, it’s probably not baby photos.
Marlena’s Holding It Together—Barely
Marlena’s still trying to function while mourning John, dodging grief with puzzles and doctor visits. Sarah gave her a basic rundown—grief, exhaustion, the usual—and asked if she wanted to talk to someone. Marlena dodged that too, instead offering to counsel Sarah about Xander, as if deflecting her own pain by analyzing other people’s is a new form of therapy.
Later, she tried to bond with Rachel over a puzzle, but instead got a front-row seat to Rachel’s subconscious unraveling. That little girl’s got secrets, and Marlena just might be the one to unravel them.
Anniversary Toasts and Awkward Vibes
Meanwhile, Paulina gave a graduation speech so good Abe was covered in goosebumps. They toasted their anniversary at The Bistro, and even Chanel got dragged into the celebration. But her face said she’d rather be anywhere else. Maybe because her entire life is unraveling and her man might reconcile with a father she despises. Just a guess.
