Beyond the Gates Recap - Monday, June 9, 2025 | Kat Outsmarts Leslie While Bill Faces a Medical Bombshell

Everything's heating up on Beyond the Gates, and not just because Kat’s sneaking around with a plan sharper than Leslie’s cheekbones. While Bill gets hit with the kind of diagnosis that sends families into full panic mode, Eva attempts a truce with Nicole, and Leslie just can’t help trying to turn everyone in her orbit into her own personal henchmen. Monday's BTG recap is packed with drama, deception, and just enough fake forgiveness to make your head spin. Let's go!

Leslie & Kat | BTG, CBS

Bill’s Health Crisis Sends Shockwaves — and Dani Isn’t Wasting Time

At Garland Memorial, Bill's being poked and prodded by Dr. Madison Montgomery, who’s not just Chelsea’s medical mystery but also her awkward ex-date. Turns out, Bill had a stroke — yep, a real one — and recovery is looking like a six-to-eight-month uphill battle. Naturally, Naomi and Chelsea are stressed out and furious that they had to hear the news from Derek of all people. Hayley’s no help either, crumbling into sobs and hugging Naomi like she’s the one in the hospital bed.

Enter Dani radiating “I’m still the wife” energy and telling Bill he better bounce back stronger than ever. Hayley clocks the tension and clearly doesn’t love it. Meanwhile, Chelsea clocks the sparks flying between Dani and her dad and gives Naomi a look that says, “You seeing this, too?”

Chelsea also corners Madison for some answers — and maybe a little flirting. Turns out, Madison ghosted Chelsea because she was intimidated and secretly a huge fan. Chelsea tries to charm her into joining a livestream, but Madison plays coy. Give it a week.

Andre’s Feeling Threatened — and Not Just by Leslie

Andre’s got a one-track mind and it's stuck on Leslie. Derek bumps into him and starts rapid-firing questions about her latest schemes. He’s especially worried since Leslie’s been sniffing around Ashley again. Derek brings Jacob up to speed at the precinct, and together they go full detective mode when Jacob gets a lead on Leslie’s location.

Andre, still spiraling, runs to the hospital to talk to Ashley about it. She gets all sentimental about Bill and his family coming together, which only stirs up more of Andre’s insecurity about Dani. He tries to reclaim his manhood by offering to take care of Dani. She’s game… until Nicole walks in, and Dani snaps into denial mode like a teen caught sneaking out. Nicole sees everything, though. That woman didn’t just put two and two together — she added the whole equation.

Nicole and Eva: Frenemies to Forgiveness

Eva gets the last visitor she ever expected — Nicole, dressed in peacekeeper chic. But don’t get it twisted, she’s not offering Eva her job back. She’s making sure Eva isn’t trying to play Laura like a pawn to win brownie points with the Richardsons.

Eva insists it was a one-time Good Samaritan act. She also reminds Nicole that she’s still in touch with Leslie, because clearly, bad decisions run in the family. Nicole urges her to prioritize safety — something Ted would’ve said. That leads to Eva’s half-hearted apology for wrecking Nicole’s marriage, which Nicole refuses to accept as an apology. So Eva reframes it as a confession. She admits she’s rooting for Ted and Nicole’s reconciliation because it’s the only thing that might make her feel slightly less like the homewrecker she was.

Surprisingly, Nicole accepts the olive branch. Look at these two, acting like grownups for once.

Kat Outsmarts Leslie at Her Own Game

Kat shows up at Leslie’s with fake sugar and plenty of spice, pretending to throw in the towel on exposing her and Eva. Leslie isn’t buying the change of heart, and neither should she. Because while Leslie’s busy on the phone with Tomas — whom she’s clearly trying to recruit as her own personal Mr. Fix-It — Kat is busy cracking open a window for a little breaking-and-entering later.

After Leslie slinks off to the diner to drop her latest offer on Tomas (who immediately declines, because ew), Kat sneaks in and stashes a bag of evidence right under Leslie’s nose. Tomas tells Leslie to lose his number, but she pivots like a pro, suggesting he hook up with Eva instead. Her matchmaking skills are about as subtle as her criminal activity.

Derek, Jacob, and Kat converge at Orphey Gene’s right after Leslie flees, and Kat oh-so-innocently suggests they get another warrant for Leslie’s place. Because gee, what a great idea!

Eva’s Face When She Realizes She’s Been Played

Once again in crisis mode, Leslie storms into Eva’s hotel room demanding the evidence — the same evidence she assumes Eva’s been hiding under her bed. But newsflash, Mom: someone’s already beat you to it. Eva shoos her out and checks for the stash, only to find nothing but empty space and a sinking feeling.

Yep, the bag’s gone. And if Eva’s jaw dropped any lower, it would’ve hit the floor. Looks like Kat’s plan worked better than anyone could have imagined. Bye-bye, leverage. Hello, panic.
