Y&R Recap | VIctor & Billy Trade Barbs, Lily Sells Damian to Devon & Nate - Thursday, May 8, 2025 [SPOILERS]

On Thursday's The Young and the Restless we saw Victor and Billy discuss the vendetta Mr. Newman has against his former son-in-law, Lily’s obession with Dumas leading to recruitment strategies that scream “spy thriller” and Chelsea and Adam already having issues at work together. This Y&R recap has it all—betrayals, boy drama, and business deals that might blow up before they even start.

Business as Usual? Not Today

At Society, Devon and Nate are playing their usual "is this a good idea?" game when it comes to hiring someone new—this time it's Damian, and surprise, Lily already made a move. She’s out here recruiting like it’s Survivor: Genoa City Edition, and Devon’s not thrilled to hear that this offer wasn’t exactly a group decision.

Meanwhile, on the patio, Holden’s feeling some kind of way about Damian’s Boston bonding sessions with Nate—and let’s not forget the time he just happened to spend with Lily. Damian brushes it off, but you can practically hear the "what’s your real agenda?" alarm going off in Holden’s head.

Victor’s Warpath: The Billy Battle Continues

Victor is once again on his eternal quest to dismantle Billy—this time by shoving Chelsea into another hit piece assignment. Chelsea isn’t shocked but she is suspicious. She knows Victor is testing her loyalty, but honestly? She’s tired of playing his puppet.

Victor then turns his chessboard eyes to Billy and prods about Phyllis—was she fired or did she sprint away from the chaos? Billy dodges with a “she needed a break” excuse and gets a mild roast when Victor calls Sally an “upgrade.” Let’s face it: Victor’s obsession with Billy is reaching stalker status, and everyone knows it.

Chelsea Catches On & Adam Tries to Keep Up

Chelsea confronts Adam about the entire vendetta-vs-Billy narrative. She knows there’s more going on and suspects it’s not just about Billy or even her—it's about Victor flexing over Chancellor. Adam insists he’s not the puppet—but let’s be real, the strings are looking real visible.

Chelsea | Y&R

Adam | Y&R

She makes Adam promise not to use Newman Media to torch Billy again. He swears, but his curiosity about Billy’s connection to Dumas isn’t exactly dying down.

Lily’s Secret Plan: Recruiting Damian for a Spy Mission

Back in the land of corporate espionage, Lily’s got a plan. A big one. She wants Damian to slide into Winters like a Trojan horse and suss out Aristotle Dumas’ game plan. Devon and Nate are both side-eyeing this setup hard, and for good reason—it sounds less like a strategy and more like a soap-opera scandal in the making.

Devon | Y&R

Even Nate’s quoting Devon: keep your enemies close, sure—but maybe not this close. Still, Lily is firm. She won’t trick Damian. He’s been through enough. And surprise, surprise—she might just like him a little more than she’s admitting.

Damian’s Dilemma

Damian tells Holden that Lily’s testing his loyalty, and that Dumas might be gearing up for a hostile takeover of Winters. Now Holden’s really freaking out—first, he’s being offered a job across the country, then he’s being asked to believe this is all above board? It’s giving “I’m being sidelined” energy, and Holden is not here for it.

Holden | Y&R

Damian | Y&R

He’s not sure if Damian is still all-in with Dumas or just caught up with Lily, but either way, he smells drama. Damian insists this is business—but we all know his eyes say otherwise.

Victor’s Latest Threat & Billy’s Defiance

Billy knows Dumas beat Victor on the Caputo deal and wastes no time reminding him. Victor claps back saying he drove the price up on purpose. Victor threatens to unleash a storm of bad press on Billy’s new venture unless he coughs up the reason he and Dumas are chitchatting behind the scenes.

Billy? Not buying it. Victor’s panicked, and Billy can smell it.

Final Moves & Fiery Decisions

Holden's still unsure about Damian’s motives, accusing him of having one foot out the door. Damian’s sticking to the story that this is just a golden opportunity—and hey, he’s even willing to vouch for Holden if he wants to take over in LA.

Meanwhile, Lily promises not to use Damian but is absolutely using him. She tells the crew that this plan is about protecting Winters from another Dumas-style ambush. Nate’s reluctantly on board, and even Devon gives it a hesitant green light. If it means keeping Winters safe, they’re going for it.

Victor shows up to check if Chelsea’s on team “destroy Billy.” Adam’s like, “Actually, I have a better plan.” Translation? Stay tuned—because the war on Billy might be changing lanes, but it’s not slowing down.

Billy’s on the phone, barking at someone to tell Dumas the meeting needs to happen now. Meanwhile, Damian dials Lily with a smug little “let’s meet to talk about my decision.” Oh honey, we know exactly what you’re about to do—and it’s going to cause chaos.
