General Hospital Recap | Dante Threatens Jason & Brad Leaves Port Charles - Thursday, May 8, 2025 [SPOILERS]

Thursday's General Hospital full episode recap has everything: blackmail threats, political power plays, and one very sassy farewell. As Dante loses it on Jason, Drew goes full dictator, and Brad struts out of Port Charles like he owns a runway. It’s drama with a capital D, and everyone is playing dirty.

Jason | GH, ABC

Drew’s Redemption Tour or Just a Hot Mess?

Let’s get one thing straight—Drew Cain isn’t crawling into a hole of shame. No, this man threw on a crisp suit, grabbed a mic, and told the world he was drugged. Willow stood by him like a loyal puppy while Nina stared in disbelief, probably wondering how her daughter got roped into supporting Mr. "Ketamine at the Club." Meanwhile, Tracy gave zero you-know-whats, breezing past Nina with a snide, “You aren’t really watching that jackass, are you?”

Curtis pulled up next to Nina to commiserate, and boy, she let it rip. She’s furious her daughter is back in Drew’s arms after catching him mid-tryst with a prostitute in their home. Nina practically begs the universe for Willow to open her eyes. But Curtis isn’t so sure Drew’s guilty—he knows Drew doesn’t even sip wine without Googling the alcohol content. Someone’s framing him, and Curtis is sniffing it out.

Operation: Take Down Sonny (Again)

While Drew was flexing his victim narrative, Tracy had her own agenda—dismantling Sonny Corinthos. Over drinks with Jordan, Sidwell, and Marco, she lamented their weak anti-Sonny campaign. Marco spelled it out: the people love Sonny. He’s Port Charles’ mobster sweetheart. If they want a shot, they need charisma. Enter Drew—strutting in like a fallen prince promising justice and redemption.

Tracy, Jordan, Sidwell & Marco | GH

Tracy rolled her eyes, but Jordan saw the potential. If Drew manages a comeback, he could help sway the public. And Sidwell? He’s got business with Jordan and had to jet. Alone with Marco, Tracy admitted she hated working with his father, but if Marco helps take Sonny out? She’ll open the entire city to him.

Drew | GH

Back at the bar, Curtis and Nina side-eyed the plotting, but Nina’s loyalty to Sonny remains unshaken—even if Curtis says he and Aurora are Team Laura, which by default means Team Sonny. Political bedfellows, anyone?

Brad’s Exit: Stylish & Savage

Elsewhere at the hospital, Liz—hobbling around on crutches—caught up with Lucas. Then in walked Brad, dressed like he was headed to a GQ shoot. Lucas was shook. Brad dropped the bomb: he’s leaving town. But not before paying Portia a little visit.

Brad slapped his resignation letter on Portia’s desk and told her the blackmail era is over... for him. For her? Not so much. Drew’s pulling the strings now. Brad exits stage left with enough swagger to make models blush, and Lucas watches, stunned, as the elevator doors close on Brad—and their twisted history.

Dante vs. Jason: The Gloves Come Off

At Sonny’s, Isaiah gave the recovering don a check-up before Dante stormed in, smoke practically coming out of his ears. His son Rocco nearly died, and who’s he blaming? Jason. Yep, not Danny—the actual teen involved—but Jason, for not keeping his kid on a leash.

Jason tried to stay calm, but Dante wasn’t having it. He went full rage mode, threatening legal action and calling out Jason’s laissez-faire parenting. Sonny tried to diffuse the situation, reminding him that kids screw up and you can’t hover 24/7. But Dante? He’s not trying to hear that. He was terrified, and he made it clear—if anything had happened to Rocco, he wouldn't have recovered.

Dante & Sonny | GH

Sasha Schools Danny, Jason Steps Up

Over at the Quartermaine mansion, Sasha gave Danny a little life coaching session. She didn’t sugarcoat it either—he messed up, but if he learns something, maybe he can pass that wisdom to her future kid. Jason overheard and jumped in with a father-son heart-to-heart. He laid down some new rules, including nightly check-ins, and opened up about AJ’s past. It was raw, real, and necessary.

Then Dante came face-to-face with Danny. The kid owned up, and Dante accepted the apology... kind of. But he’s not convinced Jason’s parenting chat is punishment enough. He wants real consequences.

Willow’s Not Backing Down

After a little chat with Liz, Willow met with Portia, who tried to talk some sense into her. But Willow is standing by her man, convinced Drew was set up and fully prepared to fight for him in court—and to keep her kids.

Portia is skeptical, and rightfully so, especially with Drew bursting into her office demanding coverage favors and threatening to blow her life to pieces. He wants Portia to manipulate Curtis and get him on Team Ezra for mayor—yes, the very same Ezra who wants to dethrone Sonny. Drew’s making enemies faster than he’s making headlines.

Jordan and Sidwell Bring Sonny an “Opportunity”

And just when you thought the day couldn’t get messier, Jordan and Sidwell show up at Sonny’s front door. They’ve got “an opportunity” they swear he’ll love. Because clearly, Sonny needs another power play thrown into the mix.
