Liam’s Meltdown & Steffy’s Gut Punch
Let’s start with the emotional rollercoaster that was Liam at the cliff house. And by emotional, I mean he’s spiraling, sobbing, and looking like he’s about five minutes away from crawling into a pit of angst. Yes, Liam is hurting—literally. He can barely breathe without wincing, but sure, let’s keep pretending that everything’s fine.
Steffy, ever the voice of reason (and pain), tells Liam she can’t believe no one’s found a specialist who can help him. Meanwhile, Liam’s too busy playing martyr to care about specialists. He didn’t even tell Hope what’s going on because, get this, he wants her to be happy. Insert eye-roll here. Apparently, his version of happiness is gently nudging her back toward Carter like some tragic love guru.
Steffy is baffled. Hope and Carter? Please. That pairing had less chemistry than a flat soda. But Liam insists Carter made Hope “light up.” Sure, if emotional betrayal and shattered trust are your thing. Steffy presses Liam on why he’s keeping his dying-man secret under wraps, and he claims it’s all about sparing Hope and Beth the pain. Classic Liam—always deciding what's “best” for everyone else.
When Liam moans in pain again, Steffy can’t hold it together. She begs him to tell Hope the truth. Liam flat-out refuses. He’ll do it his way. On his terms. Because nothing says mature adult like playing hide-and-seek with terminal diagnoses. He wants to make peace, he says, as if not telling the mother of his child that he’s dying is somehow bringing peace. He wants Steffy and Hope to come together and support each other when he’s gone. That’s cute, considering his very existence kept them at odds for years. Now he wants a sisterhood circle?
And then—boom—nostalgia alert. Steffy remembers their reunion on the beach after thinking Liam was gone for good. There were tears. There was longing. There was so much emotional baggage. The kind you need a forklift to unpack. Liam pulls her into a hug as she sobs. It’s raw. It’s real. It’s absolutely heartbreaking.
Hope Is Wrecked, Carter Is Desperate
Meanwhile, over at Brooke’s place, Carter is throwing everything he’s got at Hope. And it’s… not working.
Carter wants Hope back. No, scratch that—he needs her. He says every line in the heartbreak playbook: “I miss you,” “You’re my sunshine,” “My life is incomplete without you.” It’s a one-man rom-com audition and Hope is not buying a ticket.
Hope reminds him she didn’t end things. He chose Ridge. He chose the Forresters. He chose everything but her. Carter admits she felt betrayed. Oh, she didn’t feel betrayed, sweetheart. She was betrayed. That’s not a feeling, that’s a fact.

He insists he wants to rebuild. Hope is torn because she remembers all the things she adored about him. But betrayal? That’s not so easy to forget, darling. She’s still bleeding from the knife he didn’t think he was holding. Carter tells her to take all the time she needs. He’ll prove himself. Good luck with that, because Hope isn’t rushing into anything—especially not back into the arms of the guy who ghosted her in favor of corporate loyalty.
Brooke Plays Queen of Hearts
Back at Forrester, Brooke is doing what Brooke does best: throwing herself at Ridge like the fate of the universe depends on it.
She tells Ridge they still have a future together. He responds with the emotional equivalent of a shrug: “Logan, we’ve been through this.” That’s man-speak for “Please stop trying to make us happen.” But Brooke is on a mission. She believes they’re destined. She knows Ridge still loves her, and frankly, she’s not wrong.

Brooke | B&B |
Ridge says he’s committed to Taylor. Brooke’s response? A verbal mic drop: If he were truly committed, he wouldn’t feel this conflicted. And let’s be honest, Ridge has the consistency of Jell-O when it comes to relationships.
Brooke gets all up in his personal space—classic Brooke move—and tells him to just admit it already. Ridge won’t deny they have a history. He admits she’s important to him, but insists he’s with Taylor and wants to be a man of his word. Brooke isn't having it. She thinks his choice to run back to Taylor was pure emotional whiplash and that he’s still head-over-heels for her.
She’s got a point. You don’t moon over your ex, flirt with nostalgia, and practically melt in her arms if you’re really done. Ridge knows it. Brooke knows it. The entire Forrester Creations building probably knows it.
