Cane’s Past Comes Out to Play
Cane’s cover as Aristotle Dumas is officially toast, thanks to Adam and Chelsea’s media blitz. While Chelsea seemed a little uneasy about the fallout, Adam was quick to point out that the story was airtight and not just about Cane. Billy’s shady alliance with him got dragged into the light too. Of course, Billy couldn’t resist showing up to “congratulate” them while low-key fuming that they went too far. Adam reminded him that Cane’s the headline act here, not his bruised ego, but Billy fired back with a not-so-subtle promise to get even. Chelsea wisely stepped in before it turned into a full-on verbal smackdown, but even she knew this was only round one.
Lily Lays Down the Law
On a train ride with Cane, Lily listened just long enough for him to pitch his story (that he only wants Chancellor and nothing else). She was not buying it. If he’s lying, she swore she’d be the one to tell the twins the whole ugly truth. Cane begged for her help breaking the news to the kids, but Lily wasn’t handing over her leverage that easily. Her message was crystal clear: no more secrets, no more games, and until she gets the full truth, all bets are off. By the time she found out the kids had learned about his double life from a news site, she was furious. Cane promised to take the blame, but she made her terms loud and clear... he calls off whatever he’s planning, or he faces the twins alone.
Nick Extends a Surprising Olive Branch
Over at Crimson Lights, Sharon was worried about Nick’s safety as he geared up to “buddy up” with Cane at Victor’s request. Nick wasn’t rattled, but Sharon reminded him just how much chaos Cane had left in his wake for everyone from Phyllis to Chance. Still, when Nick crossed paths with Cane on the train, he shocked both Cane and Lily by apologizing for the hit piece and suggesting they find a way to work together. Cane was skeptical, but Nick argued that being at war was bad for business. Whether Cane sees this as a truce or a trap remains to be seen.
Adam and Chelsea Size Up the Fallout
Back at the office, Chelsea warned Adam that Cane might retaliate, but Adam wasn’t too concerned. He suspected Victor already had a bigger plan in motion. Still, Chelsea wasn’t wrong... with Cane buying up half the town, he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. And as Adam pointed out, maybe Cane should be more worried about them than the other way around.
