One Angry Leo
The jury took its first vote, and Leo was ready to pop champagne until one lone holdout ruined his victory lap. Of course, that juror was none other than Adam, Leo’s annoyingly earnest roommate during sequestration. Adam is convinced Johnny DiMera shot EJ and insists he can turn everyone to his side. Leo tried to keep his cool, but Adam’s “Law & Order” references sent him over the edge. After three loud “shut ups,” Leo looked about ready to strangle him with a juror’s badge.
Adam would not back down, making impassioned speeches about the hypocrisy of Salem’s powerful and even dragging Dr. Marlena Evans into the mud. That was the last straw for Leo, who fiercely defended Marlena’s good name. The jury split right down the middle as whispers flew around the room. Adam smirked, convinced he could sway the rest, while Leo seethed. The verdict was slipping through his manicured fingers, and he knew it.
EJ’s Stunning Demand
Over at the DiMera mansion, EJ was losing his own patience. With the jury deliberating, he pushed Kristen to make sure Johnny walks free no matter the cost. Her protest that there was no time fell flat. EJ coolly suggested she frame someone else. Yes, he really said that. His first idea? Ava. Kristen nearly choked at the thought, but EJ reminded her it was already happening anyway. If someone had to take the fall, better anyone than his son.
Their shady plotting was interrupted by Rachel sneaking out of her room, fresh off tricking Marlena with a fake snake emergency. She asked point blank if EJ was mad at her for telling the truth in court. EJ soothed her nerves, but the tension was thick. Just then, Marlena got a text from Belle: the jury had reached a verdict.
Sophia Plays for Keeps
Across town, Sophia was proving she is not ready to let Tate go. Sarah caught her at the Pub and begged her to give Tate the truth and closure about their baby. Sophia refused, fearing Tate’s hatred and her mother’s interference. She dreamed instead of starting fresh at Salem U with Tate right by her side.
When Tate showed up with Brady, he brushed her off for lunch with Holly and left her fuming. Brady noticed Sophia slip and call the baby “him” instead of “her,” but Sarah tried to smooth it over. Brady could not shake the weirdness and replayed Sarah’s earlier doubts about the baby’s gender. Sophia, meanwhile, grabbed a job application of her own, determined to plant herself even deeper in Tate’s world.
Brady Starts to Suspect
Brady was proud of Tate for deciding against fighting the adoptive family and even more proud when his son announced plans to find a job. But behind the fatherly smiles, he was rattled. Sophia’s strange choice of words, Sarah’s evasive behavior, and his gut instinct were all lining up in a way that spelled trouble. Brady might not have all the answers yet, but Salem has taught us one thing: Brady Black’s instincts are usually right when it comes to shady behavior.
