Anita Snaps and Leslie Plays the Victim
Leslie is positively gloating when she learns the fortune she’s set to inherit is Dupree money. She declares herself Black royalty and brags about living the good life beyond the gates. The arrogance is sky-high until she decides to twist the knife by accusing Anita of being responsible for Barbara’s death. With a wicked little smirk, she taunts, “Does that mean I get to call you Auntie Nita?” That is when Anita, who has clearly had enough of Leslie’s nonstop crowing, hauls off and delivers a slap that we've been waiting for since Leslie sashayed into her life.
Of course, Leslie wastes no time painting herself as the victim when Vernon shows up. She claims Anita attacked her, clutches her pearls, and lets him escort her out. Meanwhile, Anita is left doubled over, literally sick from the mess of it all.
Ashley Has No Time for Andre’s Excuses
Across town, Derek tries dodging physical therapy by sulking in front of Survivor reruns, but Shanice isn’t having it. She pushes him through the session, and he softens enough to wonder if his condition makes him unworthy of romance. She assures him he has nothing to worry about, and adds Ashley won’t be scared off either.
Enter Madison, who gives Ashley a pep talk about Derek needing her support. Right on cue, Andre swoops in for a hug. But Ashley has eyes, and she saw him kissing Dani. She calls him out on the spot, asking if “public make-out sessions” are some new breakup technique. Andre insists it’s over with Dani, but Ashley isn’t buying it. With Derek fresh on her mind, she makes it clear Andre has lost his shot. (Somebody call Dani, because her boy toy just got benched.)
Kat Overshares With Jacob
Kat drops by the police station to pressure Jacob into taking Leslie down, but somehow the conversation veers into her own love life. And let’s just say Kat isn’t holding back. She confesses Tomas is hot but the sex is not, leaving poor Jacob with way more intel than any cousin should ever have. He half-jokes that she should test-drive another guy, but then wisely walks it back, telling her relationships take time.
Meanwhile, Tomas is busy bonding with Eva, who’s still trying to figure out her place in the world. Later, Kat regroups with Chelsea to plan the big purse launch now that Bill pulled some strings to get the lawsuit dropped.
