Beyond the Gates Recap - Thursday, August 7, 2025 | Hayley Loses the Baby and Naomi Is Not Buying It

On Thursday’s episode of Beyond the Gates Hayley milks her so-called medical emergency for all it’s worth, Naomi refuses to play along with the lies, and Vanessa gets a front-row seat to just how dangerous Joey can be.

Hayley’s Pain, Randy’s Game

Picking up right where we left off, Hayley is doubled over in agony at Uptown but swats away Dani’s attempts to help like she’s swatting a fly. Instead, she calls on another patron to whisk her to the hospital. He introduces himself as Sammy, but we all know that’s a load of nonsense — it’s Doug’s buddy Randy in a bad alias. 

Dani calls Bill to keep him from skipping town and fills him in on Hayley’s sudden hospital trip. But the real kicker? Sammy-slash-Randy strolls back into Uptown moments later, casually dropping that Hayley does not want Dani anywhere near her. Dani gets the distinct feeling she’s seen him before, but Randy ducks out before she can place him.

Joey Gets a Free Pass

Elon comes at Joey in full police chief mode, accusing him of ordering the park murder. Joey makes it clear he’s not going down alone, and suddenly the big bad investigation is shut down. Just like that, the two men decide to part ways with a handshake — because nothing says “crime solved” like a mutual shrug.

Jacob shows up just in time to catch this little truce and is none too pleased. Father and son clash, with Jacob calling out Elon’s habit of turning a blind eye to Joey’s dirt. Elon fires back that Jacob has done the exact same thing for the Dupree family more than once.

Vanessa’s Warning Falls Flat

Over at Casa Dysfunction, Doug is drowning in booze and self-pity, ranting that Joey Armstrong is basically a one-man crime wave. Vanessa warns him that Joey bugged his car and begs him to stop poking the bear. She admits she’s still laundering money for Joey but says she cares about Doug’s safety. Doug swears off any revenge plans but pleads with her to get out before Joey takes her down too.

Naomi Corners Ashley

Naomi is on a mission and corners Ashley to finally spill the tea about what she’s been hinting at. Ashley, bound by HIPAA, gets crafty and tells Naomi in roundabout terms that Dani thinks Hayley’s pregnancy might be a sham. Naomi’s eyebrows nearly hit the ceiling. Why, she asks, would Hayley fake a sonogram when she’s already married to Bill and has his wallet at her disposal? As Naomi puts it, any self-respecting gold-digger would just kick back and enjoy the ride.

The Final Blow

Vanessa reports back to Joey that Doug has backed off — for now. But Doug has other ideas, buying a burner phone to ring up Randy, shocked to learn he’s sitting pretty at Orphey Gene’s. Across town, Naomi confronts pajama-clad Hayley about her ultrasound lie. Before Hayley can spin a fresh excuse, Bill walks in, and she blurts out the bombshell: she lost the baby.
