Vernon Deals With the Devil
Anita is still rattled from slapping Leslie, questioning if she has lost her moral compass. Vernon tries to reassure her, but his real focus is strategy. Enter Bill, summoned yet again to clean up Dupree drama. He warns the family that Leslie is sitting on a goldmine and could weaponize her wealth in any number of twisted ways. Honeytraps, hitmen, blackmail, take your pick. His offer? To keep watch over the situation. The cost? Vernon’s respect for both Bill and Hayley. Reluctantly, Vernon caves, and just like that, a new alliance is formed. Later, Anita unburdens herself to Nicole, finally confessing the truth about Barbara’s death and why she set up the trust that Leslie now controls.
Leslie Proves Money Can’t Buy Class
Eva begs her mom not to blow through their new fortune, but Leslie wastes no time living the high life. A lawyer hands her a check for one million dollars, and Leslie struts straight to Ted to flaunt it. She taunts him about his past flings and sneers, “I’m just as rich as you are now, doc. Probably richer!” Ted shuts her down with a reality check, telling her she will never master the subtlety that comes with real wealth. Leslie’s response? Tossing hundred-dollar bills at his feet after he refuses the money she once blackmailed from him. Next, she sets her sights on Vanessa and a brand-new home. And not just any home. Leslie wants to live behind the gates. Fairmont Crest, you’ve been warned.
Dani Keeps Andre on His Toes
Over at Dani’s, Andre is still licking his wounds from Ashley’s rejection. Dani swoops in with her signature mix of sass and seduction, reminding him they’ve always been able to make each other feel better. They get close, sparks fly, but this time Dani pumps the brakes. She lays down the challenge that if Andre wants friends with benefits again, he’ll need to earn it. She even blocks his kiss to drive the point home. Game on.
Kat Gets More Bad News
Kat learns from her mom that Nicole’s divorce papers are officially being filed. Timing, much? Later, Kat and Eva butt heads at Orphey Gene’s, with Eva admitting she is heartbroken over Nicole and Ted’s split since they were supposed to be the gold standard of romance. Eva then heads to her dad’s, where she finds her mother already making the rounds, newly rich and showing it off.
