Leslie and Peaches | BTG, CBS |
Peaches Brings the Heat to Leslie’s Door
Eva’s already over her mom’s money problems when Leslie drops the bomb that she owes more than $10,000 and wants Eva to hit up Ted for it. Eva storms off, leaving Leslie to answer the door to none other than Peaches, who wastes no time firing shots. “You got older,” Leslie says. “You got meaner,” Peaches snaps back. We learn Leslie once stole a man from her, but Peaches isn’t here for payback, she’s here because she’s dying. Oh, and she thinks it’s time Leslie finally learns the truth about who her mother really is. Cue the soap organ music.
Kat’s Bedroom Mystery
Tomas can tell something’s off with Kat and gracefully makes his exit, insisting he’s not upset and fully intends to romance her. The truth? She later confides in Chelsea that their second time together was even worse than the first. Kat swears she’s not gay, doesn’t think she’s asexual, but wonders if waiting so long to start having sex has somehow messed with her mojo. At Uptown, Tomas runs into Eva, who once again seems to understand him better than his own girlfriend. Someone’s chemistry radar is definitely working, it just might not be Kat’s.
Nicole Moves On… Maybe
Ted’s bad day starts with divorce papers and gets worse when he spots Nicole having dinner with his pal Carlton. He’s ready to make a scene until Anita shuts him down like a misbehaving puppy. She and Vernon remind him he put more effort into bonding with the child who almost ruined his marriage than into saving it. When Ted gets a private word with Nicole, he can’t hide his shock at her moving on with his co-worker. Anita and Vernon swoop in again, sending Ted packing while Anita tells Nicole that the instinct to protect your children never fades. Meanwhile, all over Fairmont Crest, families wrestle with their own tangled messes.
June Faces Her Past
Naomi tries to calm June before she meets Samantha and Tyrell, but June’s convinced it will be a disaster. She recalls happy memories and the night she left, believing the kids would have a better life without her. When she catches her reflection looking more polished than she expected, she manages a smile. Across town, Martin and Smitty worry they could lose the kids, but agree to a truce after Martin admits therapy has helped him want to be a better man.
The reunion is tense. Samantha listens, but Tyrell bristles as June explains she gave them up so they could have the life they have now. Her voice shakes as she asks if there might be room for her in their picture-perfect family portrait. The men tell her that’s a decision for the family to discuss in private. While Tyrell wants her gone for good, Samantha thinks she should be part of their lives. Martin later suggests Smitty move back in for the kids’ sake, but before he can answer, the teens return with their decision on whether they want to see June again.
