Leslie Gets Busted and Still Manages to Show Up
Let’s start with our favorite chaos queen. Leslie was posted up at Orphey Gene’s whining about not having a ticket to the Articulettes’ concert. And naturally, she blamed Ted. Because when in doubt, blame the ex.
While Eva slipped off to the restroom, Leslie helped herself to a peek in her daughter’s purse. What did she find? A credit card and a concert ticket — the one Ted secretly slipped to Eva. Leslie snatched it like she was in a heist movie and made a quick getaway.
When Ted found out what she did, he knew better than to let this explode into a full-on family meltdown. So he gave his ticket to Eva, ensuring she could attend without sitting next to her deranged mother. Smooth move, Ted. For once.
Derek Gets Served While Doug Checks Out
Ashley and Derek met up for coffee, but it wasn’t long before things veered into dangerous territory. They started reflecting on their past and how their rebound flings — Shanice and Andre — weren’t exactly long-term material. Derek even dropped a line about not giving up on them again.

Meanwhile, over in disaster-marriage land, Doug dropped a bomb on Vanessa, saying he’s done pretending they’re happy. She didn’t even flinch. Instead, she threatened him with a “stop drinking, stop gambling, and stop blurting secrets” if he wants to survive this mess. Doug handed his concert ticket to Shanice and took himself right out of the picture. Smartest thing he’s done in a while.
Articulettes Take the Stage as Tensions Bubble Over
At the theater, Martin and Smitty showed up separately, exchanged tight smiles, and immediately got hit with Samantha’s matchmaking energy. She tried to get them to sit together, and surprise — they did not.
Smitty and Naomi shared a quiet moment about their mutual secrets. Meanwhile, the entire audience went cold when Leslie waltzed in. Vernon gave her a look that could stop a train, and Eva hovered like a bodyguard, ready to pounce if Mom opened her mouth.
