Sarah Doesn’t Buy Sophia’s Story

Sarah stops by the Kiriakis mansion and immediately picks up on the weird vibes surrounding Sophia’s sudden Chicago trip. Maggie’s grieving the loss of the baby while Holly awkwardly bolts to lunch, and Sarah wastes no time digging for answers. When she checks Sophia out later at the hospital, things get even sketchier. Sure, there’s no infection, but something doesn’t add up with Sophia’s recovery.

Sarah presses her on the baby’s gender, and Sophia goes stone cold. When she finally breaks, it’s clear she’s hiding something big. She begs Sarah not to say anything, but Sarah reminds her that if the baby’s in danger, silence isn’t an option. Sophia insists the baby’s safe, but the way Sarah looks afterward? Let’s just say she knows this teen isn’t telling the whole story.

Belle Tries to Quit, Paulina’s Not Having It

Belle’s still fuming after EJ’s courtroom meltdown. She finds Paulina and hands in her resignation, but Paulina laughs it off like a bad joke. She’s not letting Belle walk now. Public optics are a nightmare, and besides, Paulina wouldn’t mind seeing Belle’s relationship with EJ go up in flames. Belle rolls her eyes but agrees to stay on for Johnny’s sake. Though let’s be real, she’d probably rather be anywhere else than stuck defending a case this messy while fighting with her almost-boyfriend.

EJ Gets an Earful from Susan and Johnny

Back at the DiMera mansion, Susan clocks EJ immediately. That decent man he was trying to become? Poof. Gone. She rips into him for going after Roman on the stand and warns that if he tries to spin this case any further, the truth will bite him. EJ tries brushing her off, but then she drops the bomb. Stefano’s presence is in the room. Right now. She can feel it. EJ freezes and honestly, so did we.

Over at the courthouse, Johnny’s still steaming after EJ roasted Grandpa Roman in court. He calls him out, but EJ doubles down, insisting it was necessary. Johnny’s not so sure, and when he takes off to see Chanel, EJ mutters a smug “You’re welcome” to no one. Because of course he does.

Tate and Holly Take a Big Step

At the pub, Tate and Holly reunite and things turn serious fast. Holly feels guilty about Tate missing the birth, but he’s quick to say he has no regrets. What matters is that she’s safe. They talk about Sophia’s radio silence, Johnny’s trial drama, and how nothing’s turning out the way they expected. Holly breaks the news, she’s staying in Salem. No France, no escape. Just her, Tate, and a chance at something real. Cue the teen love confessions.

Chanel and Johnny Keep It Moving

Chanel and Johnny cross paths with Holly and Tate during their lunch date, and it’s awkward city. After some uncomfortable small talk about babies and trials, they head off to their own table, both shaken by what the younger couple is going through. But Chanel is ride-or-die. She’s sticking with Johnny through the trial, no matter what. And she’s got some creative ways to help him forget his stress.

Sophia finally opens up to Sarah offscreen, leaving the doctor visibly rattled. Whatever she learned clearly wasn’t in the hospital pamphlet. Amy arrives just in time to break the tension, and Sarah gently offers Sophia a way back if she ever needs to talk again.

Meanwhile, Susan’s psychic radar is going off like crazy. She locks eyes with Stefano’s portrait and announces that his presence is here in the DiMera mansion. And with the way this case is going, it looks like his ghost might not be the only thing haunting EJ’s future.
