Sophia’s Story Doesn’t Add Up
Tate came looking for answers, and Sophia delivered a story that didn’t pass the smell test. She told him the baby was “gone” because the adoptive parents had already taken her. Tate flipped out, shouting about her giving away their baby without even asking him. Brady tried to calm things down, but Sophia kept spinning her tale about the adoption being fate since the parents were with her when she went into labor. She showed a suspiciously perfect photo of the happy couple holding the baby and gushed about them being churchgoing doctors who do volunteer work.
Brady and Tate weren’t convinced, but Sophia pressed Tate to sign the papers. After an emotional beat, he relented, saying all that mattered was the baby was safe. Sophia thanked them and left, while Tate admitted to Brady he felt like something had been ripped away from him. Alone, Tate took a call from Holly, who tried to flirt, but he was in no mood. Right now, he just needs space.
Gabi Supports Ari Through Doug Drama
Ari returned home, guilt-ridden over her ill-fated involvement with Doug, but Gabi kept the “I told you so”s to herself. All she wanted was to remind Ari that she’s loved and safe. Ari vowed to confront Doug one last time and promised her mom she wouldn’t get sucked back in.
Later at the pub, Doug got exactly what was coming to him. Holly confronted him first for putting everyone in danger and admitted whatever feelings she once had for him were history. When Ari arrived, she slapped Doug across the face and unleashed her heartbreak, making it clear she cared about him once but would rather erase him from her memory now. Doug’s leaving Salem, and Ari was more than happy to see him go.
Tony Tries to Recruit Gabi
Over at the DiMera mansion, Tony tried to rope Gabi into a business plot, offering her a shot at revenge by digging up dirt on Xander and Philip. Gabi played it cool, not committing to anything just yet, but the wheels were clearly turning. Could this alliance turn toxic before it even starts?
Sarah and Xander Face the Inevitable
In a bittersweet moment, Sarah dropped by to see Victoria, catching Xander playing blocks with their daughter. They almost slipped back into old patterns, but reality hit hard. Sarah pushed Xander to address his anger issues if they ever want joint custody. He reluctantly agreed to anger management with Marlena but wanted a formal separation to make things official. Their love may not be dead, but for now, they’re living separate lives for Victoria’s sake.
