EJ Digs Deep but Comes Up Empty

EJ sat down with Marlena for a hypnosis session, desperate to remember who shot him and clear Johnny’s name. Belle made it crystal clear they need to keep their secret romance under wraps, but EJ couldn’t resist sneaking in a kiss. Marlena returned just in time to break up the moment and get to work. Under hypnosis, EJ grew agitated, demanding, “What are you doing? Why don’t you give that to me?” but the shooter’s face stayed frustratingly out of reach. Marlena concluded that his mind is still locking those memories away because they’re too traumatic. EJ hates to admit it, but maybe he’s more afraid of the truth than he realizes.

Rachel Melts Down Over Mansion Memories

Brady took Rachel to the DiMera mansion to grab camp gear, only to find Gwen had moved in, much to everyone’s surprise. Gwen bragged about her new digs while Rachel rushed through packing, clearly desperate to leave. When Brady pressed her, Rachel confessed the real reason: she’s terrified of testifying and doesn’t want to send Johnny to jail. Brady did his best to reassure her, but the little girl’s nerves were shot.

Johnny and Chanel Refuse to Back Down

With the trial looming, Johnny could barely manage his tie. Chanel offered her usual support, reminding him that he stopped himself from shooting EJ, no matter what it looks like. Johnny couldn’t shake the fear of being wrongly convicted, but Chanel urged him to fight for the truth. If EJ can’t remember, then they’ll have to find someone else who can. One thing’s certain: neither of them plans to take the fall for a crime they didn’t commit.

Courtroom Chaos and Marlena’s Collapse

As the trial kicked off, Belle juggled calls with Claire about her messy breakup with Theo while Abe and Paulina fretted over their kids and Johnny’s future. EJ arrived at the last second, still blank on who shot him. Just as the jury was called in, Marlena suddenly turned pale and collapsed into Abe’s arms, leaving Belle and Johnny frantic. Meanwhile, Gwen discovered the DiMera safe had been cleaned out, the mysterious necklace nowhere to be found.
