Young and the Restless Recap - Wednesday, June 4, 2025 | Jack & Diane’s Romantic Getaway Takes a Backseat to Dumas Drama

A scandalous invite, a postponed launch, and a power move from Kyle? Things seem to be heating up in Genoa City. While Jack tries to whisk Diane off on a romantic getaway, the rest of the town is busy freaking out about Aristotle Dumas and his exclusive chateau shindig in France. Here's Wednesday's The Young and the Restelss recap.

Diane & Jack | Y&R, CBS SONY

Phyllis Plots Her European Invasion

Who needs a travel agent when you’ve got Phyllis Summers scheming her way into European high society? After eavesdropping on Nick’s upcoming jaunt to France, Red is suddenly craving croissants and billionaires. When she hears that Aristotle Dumas has invited the Newmans, Abbotts, and Winters to his chateau, she practically combusts. Of course she should be on that list — or so she thinks. Never mind that Dumas has never even met her. According to Phyllis logic, “hardly met” equals “basically besties.”

Nick tries to rain on her jet-setting dreams, warning that Dumas is shady with a capital ‘S,’ but Phyllis isn’t interested in a lecture. She’s pivoting! No longer begging for funding, she’s now offering her business savvy to worm her way into Dumas’ inner circle. And if that doesn’t work, she’s texting Amanda for a hookup. What could go wrong?

Jack and Diane Are Delaying Work... and Greece

Jack’s idea of a romantic surprise? Dropping the “let’s leave for the honeymoon we never had TODAY” bomb while Diane’s mid-coffee pour. Naturally, she’s thrilled — even more so when he proposes a switcheroo on their itinerary. Who needs Greece when there’s a mysterious party in France and a billionaire possibly targeting your company? Romance meets reconnaissance!

These two have come a long way since their kidnapping and courtroom days, and now they’re planning late arrivals to work with a wink and a nod. But even on cloud nine, Jack’s got his eye on the business chessboard — and Dumas just became a very intriguing opponent.

Claire's Crumbling and Kyle's Calculated Play

Claire is doing her best to hold it together, but between her dad’s suspiciously recurring flu and Kyle’s big-boy business move, it’s a lot. She’s spooked about her father’s health and jittery about what Victor might do in response to Kyle's unexpected offer. And no, she’s not kissing Kyle — she doesn’t need that flu going viral.

Meanwhile, Kyle is strutting around like he invented deal-making, assuring everyone he knows exactly what he’s doing. Even Jack is rattled by his son’s boldness. Has Kyle actually struck a deal with the devil, aka Victor Newman? Stay tuned.

Adam Feels Snubbed and Sally’s Had It

Over at Crimson Lights, Adam’s having a sulk-fest because guess who didn’t get invited to the Dumas party? That’s right — him. Even Mike made the cut! Chelsea does her best to soothe his bruised ego, suggesting maybe it’s because Dumas sees him as a threat. Adam agrees but decides to stay behind and stir up a bigger scandal to keep his father distracted. Priorities!

Billy, on the other hand, is ready to parachute into France — but only after delivering some ego blows to Adam. He’s also pushing for a major launch delay at Abbott Communications, and Sally is not amused. She’s sacrificed too much to let his obsession with Victor and this Dumas drama derail their hard work. But Billy’s already packed his sunscreen — and he promises there’s a silver lining: he gets to take Sally to Nice. Insert eye roll.

Nick Plays the Voice of Reason (Again)

Back at Society, Nick and Phyllis run into each other and start dissecting Summer’s designer crush and Aristotle Dumas’ guest list. Phyllis is in full fantasy mode — Nick’s trying to stay grounded. He’s worried Phyllis is chasing trouble while the rest of them are trying to avoid it. He also drops a little corporate truth bomb: if Dumas is targeting Chancellor, then Genoa City’s power players better keep their heads on a swivel.

But when Phyllis suggests a side trip to Italy to spy on Summer’s new friend (and then casually hop over to France), Nick does what any man would do — fakes a phone call and escapes. Classic.

So What’s the Takeaway?

Honeymoons, launch delays, and a billionaire puppet master are about to converge in the South of France (we hope the set is better than Ashley's Paris apartment) — and everyone in Genoa City is either boarding the jet or clawing their way onto the guest list. Let the international chaos begin.
