Three hearts are heavy in Genoa City on Thursday, and we’re not just talking about Claire’s tear-filled eyes. Cole’s mysterious illness has everyone concerned, Victor’s scheming is back in full swing (surprise, surprise), and Lily? She’s off to chase ghosts and grudges across the French Riviera. Welcome to your Y&R recap, where emotional breakdowns are served with a side of power plays and bruised egos. Let’s get messy.

Claire’s World Shakes as Cole’s Condition Worsens
Claire’s trying to keep it together, but it’s hard when your dad sounds like he’s auditioning for a tuberculosis PSA. Victoria and Claire hover like nervous nurses as Cole weakly insists it’s “just the flu.” Sure, and I’m the Queen of Genoa City. Even the doctor isn’t buying that excuse—it might be pneumonia, and now we need X-rays. Victoria's dragging Cole to the hospital, while Claire is stuck clinging to hope and Kyle's shoulder. Oh, and she loves her dad. In case the tearful declarations didn’t give that away.
Victor Pulls the Strings, and Kyle Dances
Victor’s playing God again, this time with Kyle’s love life. He’s already drafted a breakup contract—five million bucks if Kyle breaks Claire’s heart and, oh yeah, he has to skip town. Harsh much? Kyle tries to stall with the old “let me run this by my lawyer” routine, but Victor’s not having it. In true Kyle fashion, he folds like a cheap suit and signs on the dotted line without having anyone look it over. Apparently, the man’s never heard of a red flag.
Meanwhile, Audra gets summoned to the ranch like a misbehaving schoolgirl. Victor’s barking orders and demanding results before his big trip to France. What part of “handle it now” didn’t she understand? Audra looks like she’d rather chew glass, but she nods along because nobody crosses the mustache.
Lily Gets Real While Damian and Holden Implode
Lily meets Damian over lunch, where he’s quietly fuming over Audra not hiring his BFF Holden. Damian’s desperate for Lily to do the favor instead. After all, it was Lily’s bright idea that got the poor guy fired. She reluctantly agrees to talk to Devon and Nate. But wait—turns out Damian has a short fuse and Holden’s not wrong to be mad. When Holden storms in, he blows up like a firecracker, accusing Damian of betrayal and making a dramatic exit.
Later, Damian confides in Amy that Holden was the only person he truly trusted in LA. So naturally, that friendship’s dead now. Amy offers some motherly support while trying not to cry for the fifth time today. Can someone give this woman a break?
Nate’s Got Questions, and Lily’s Got a Plane to Catch
Back at the park, Amy’s practically glowing—she’s staying in Genoa City, and Audra’s trying not to cry in public (again). Meanwhile, Nate’s busy grilling Lily about Dumas. She’s still obsessed with flying off to France for answers, and he’s still side-eying her obsession. But let’s not pretend Nate’s above the drama—he wants a selfie with Dumas like it’s Coachella.
Also, can we talk about how Lily insists nothing is going on with Damian, while blushing and talking about childhood trauma over dating apps? Yeah, girl. Sure.
Audra and Holden Share a Moment… or Something Like It
Audra runs into Holden sulking on the patio. He’s practically in tears, jobless, friendless, and emotionally unraveling. She takes pity on him—and maybe something more. They share a soft little hand-hold across the table like it’s the start of a high school romance. Audra says he just needs a friend, and let’s be honest, Holden looks like he needs a lot more than that.
