Phyllis arrives in France like a woman on a mission, Kyle and Audra flirt their way through a maze with zero shame and Damian is one hedge away from a full-on meltdown. Phyllis Shows Up Flashy and Ready to Conquer
Phyllis storms onto the scene fresh from the maze and straight into Nick’s arms. Forget subtlety. She wants answers and maybe a bar cart. Nick tells her there’s no cell service anywhere which just adds to the sense that this luxury party is really an elaborate trap. Phyllis isn’t backing down though. She’s got her eye on her own empire and isn’t afraid to make moves.
When Sharon strolls up acting like the queen of calm, she invites Nick to go flower-gazing. And Phyllis too, of course. But Phyllis isn’t about to skip a drink to stare at pretty, pink petals. As soon as Nick and Sharon walk off, she looks instantly rattled. Phyllis might be here to reclaim her power but that doesn’t mean she wants to be left alone with her insecurities in a giant hedge maze.
Kyle Wants Answers and Audra Delivers Attitude and Aroma
Kyle is having a tech-induced breakdown in the maze, trying to reach Claire. Audra conveniently appears and immediately questions whether he followed her. She’s supposedly sending photos to a sick friend and trying to contact Nate. Kyle’s not buying it but he’s also clearly intrigued. Their verbal tennis match quickly turns flirtatious.
When Kyle asks about her new fragrance, Audra says it’s not for him. Dumas gets the exclusive sample. She insists she’s not a thief and implies that Kyle might be. Later, she sprays the scent on her neck and dares him to take a whiff. He calls it intoxicating, which leaves her grinning like the cat who just devoured the canary. Diane is watching from the sidelines and does not like what she sees. She smells trouble and she’s not wrong.
Damian Melts Down and Lily Keeps It Cool
Damian, who was already sketched out by the luxury setup, completely loses it in the maze. He calls it a green prison and starts spiraling. Lily takes the lead and talks him down with some wine references and steady breathing while Devon trails behind looking ready to hop on the next train out.
Lily introduces Damian to the others as someone she poached from Dumas, and he quickly clarifies he’s just as confused as everyone else. He’s wondering why he’s even here which makes two dozen of them. At this point, it’s all starting to feel more like a setup than a business retreat.
Where Is Dumas and What Is This Game
Everyone’s still waiting on Dumas to make his grand entrance. Cocktail hour is in full swing and the group is beginning to compare notes. Phyllis and Billy are in no rush to leave. Neither are Audra and Kyle. Lily’s determined to get answers while Devon is over it. Jack and Nick are ready to walk if Dumas doesn’t appear soon. This is starting to feel less like a retreat and more like a trap.
Meanwhile, Dumas is watching everything from his dimly lit office. Carter suggests it’s time to say hello but Dumas wants to wait. For now. Until he doesn’t. Because suddenly he decides it’s time to move things along and have Victor and Nikki join the rest of the guests. And just like that, we get our first glimpse of the elusive host.
Surprise. It’s actor Billy Flynn who plays Chad on Days of Our Lives. He spins around in his chair looking like the cat who’s been watching the mice play. Whatever his plan is, he’s clearly been enjoying the show.
