GH Recap - Monday, June 2, 2025 | Gio Confronts Sonny, Liz Explodes on Lucky & Brook Lynn Tears Into Her Family

Three Port Charles households are on the verge of meltdown, and no one's walking away clean. Elizabeth gets blindsided by Lucky’s jaw-dropping confession about Kristina. Meanwhile, Brook Lynn is ripping into her mom and grandma like it’s a sport, and Gio is on the hunt for answers only Sonny can handle. Monday's General Hospital recap is dripping in betrayal, guilt, and more secrets than a Cassadine bank statement.

Gio & Sonny | GH, ABC

Liz Learns the Truth — and It’s a Whole Mess

So, Elizabeth was expecting a cozy little recovery chat with Lucky, maybe some soup and sweet nothings. What she got instead? A full-blown bombshell. As we know, Lucky has known all along that it was Kristina who tampered with the brakes — on Ric’s car, not Ava’s — and caused the accident that almost killed Liz and Ric. And he’s been covering it up like it’s some sort of community service project.

Kristina had a meltdown after fighting with Ava, and instead of, I don’t know, taking a walk or eating a cookie, she decided to sabotage a car. Whoops — wrong one. Lucky's been carrying this secret ever since, thinking he was protecting Kristina, but Liz is fuming. She’s not buying the whole “momentary lapse of judgment” defense and is clearly wondering how long before Kristina snaps again.

Lucky’s all “I did it for you,” and Liz is torn between throwing something at him or swooning over his honesty. She agrees to keep the secret, but oh, the trust here is hanging by a thread. And just when things are starting to settle, Liz finds a ring box casually tucked in the couch cushions. Guess dessert is going to come with a proposal.

Kristina and Michael Air Out Willow’s Dirty Laundry

Meanwhile, over at Carly’s, Kristina is on a mission. She catches Michael just before court and lets loose about how Willow has traded her family for her Drew obsession. She’s done giving Willow the benefit of the doubt and paints her as the latest in a line of terrible decisions, right after Shiloh and a side of misplaced loyalty.

Michael, looking like he’s aged five years in five minutes, drops the real kicker — Drew bought property in D.C., and Willow is thinking of relocating with the kids. Cue Michael deciding it's time to be Daddy of the Year with a vengeance. Kristina gives her stamp of approval, warning that this courtroom showdown is going to unleash a whole new Michael. Someone get the popcorn, extra butter please.

Brook Lynn Unleashes Hell on Lois and Gloria

In the Quartermaine kitchen, Brook Lynn isn’t just angry — she’s volcanic. Gio wants nothing to do with her, and she blames her mother Lois and grandmother Gloria for keeping her own child a secret all these years. And let’s be real — she’s not wrong to be livid.

Lois tries to justify giving Gio to Camilla, saying Brook Lynn didn’t want to be a mom at the time. Gloria chimes in with the classic guilt-trip: “We did what was best for you.” But Brook Lynn is not here for the spin. She’s livid that Gio grew up right under her nose and that they said nothing — not even when Camilla died and he became an orphan at twelve. Twelve!

The two matriarchs double down, saying they kept Gio close so he’d be loved. Brook Lynn, teary-eyed and furious, tells them they don’t get to pat themselves on the back for turning her life into a Greek tragedy. When she brings up Gio’s pain and the devastating on-stage reveal, the room goes dead silent… until Gio walks in. Talk about a dramatic entrance.

Gio Turns to Sonny for Straight Answers

And where does Gio run to when everything hits the fan? Uncle-Grandpa Sonny, of course. The one guy in Port Charles who’s been around the block more times than a Metro Court elevator. Gio wants the truth — did Sonny know about him before the Nurses Ball chaos?

Sonny assures him he didn’t, but his kindness was always real. He drops the bomb that even Lois didn’t know Dante was the father until long after Gio was placed with Camilla. Gio, still reeling from the truth tornado, admits he’s not sure he wants anything to do with Dante.

Sonny advises him not to make life decisions while emotional — which is ironic, considering Sonny’s brand is 90% impulse and 10% espresso. But he’s genuine when he offers Gio a place to stay and tells him that, like it or not, family’s messy — but it’s still family. Gio leaves, clearly conflicted. Moments later, Dante shows up, one day late and twenty-two years short. He blames Brook Lynn for all of it, but we all know this storm is just getting started.

This GH recap proves once again: when Port Charles secrets come to light, they come with enough drama to knock over the Metro Court rooftop bar. Soap Opera Reviews delivers daily spoilers and recaps so you never miss a thing. We live for the drama!
