Bo Brady Proves He’s Still Got It (Even If He’s Half Dead)
Leave it to Bo to show up at John’s funeral like it’s a finale walk on the runway. Hope practically had to drag him out of his hospital bed, worried he’d collapse mid-tribute, but Bo was all, “No pain, no problem.” He convinced her he could make it through one funeral without dropping dead — fair request, right? So, off they went, with Hope gripping the steering wheel and her patience.
They rolled in just as Eric was about to start the closing prayer. You could feel the collective gasp. Marlena welcomed Bo like royalty, and he took that podium like he owned it. From nearly falling off a cliff to being saved by John, Bo reminded everyone that beneath John’s silent strength was a massive heart. “He may not be here, but his gift of life will go on,” Bo choked out. Cue the tears — and not just from Hope.
Marlena Keeps It Classy With a Side of Suspicious
Marlena didn't plan to speak — but of course she did. And when she did, she did it with poise and passion. She recited a poem that basically summed up 40 years of epic love. It was intimate, devastating, and left not a dry eye in the room.
But don’t let that graceful moment distract you — Marlena’s radar was pinging. Someone sent her lilacs, John’s signature flower. Only problem? She has no idea who sent them. Now, if you think Marlena’s just going to let a floral mystery go unsolved, think again. Something’s up, and she knows it. The woman’s got a therapist’s instincts and a widow’s suspicion.
Brady Honors John’s Eyebrow Game and Drops the Gondola Mic
Brady took his moment at the podium to give us what we didn’t know we needed — a tribute to John Black’s legendary eyebrow expressions. He broke down the different types like a connoisseur: the suspicious arch, the “you’re pushing it” stare, and the iconic Make My Day brow. It was both hilarious and heartwarming, because only Days of Our Lives can blend those two so flawlessly.
Later, Brady made another unforgettable move. He laid down the gondola plates from John and Isabella’s romantic ride and told his dad to give his love to mom. That, folks, is how you do closure with drama and grace.
From Sami’s Letter to Carrie’s Flower Power, the Kids Brought the Emotion
Eric kicked things off reading a touching letter from Sami — and yes, she admitted she was a total disaster growing up, but John loved her through it. Carrie brought the nostalgia hard, recreating the flower ceremony from John and Marlena’s 1999 wedding. Every sibling walked up with a bloom, from snapdragons to orchids, and it was basically a walking memory lane of family feels.
Even Paul got Sami’s blessing to lay down her flower, and the whole thing was pure DOOL gold. Marlena flashbacked to that wedding like it was yesterday, and honestly? So did we.
The End... or Just the Beginning of Something Mysterious?
After the ceremony, Salem’s finest headed to The Brady Pub to keep the love (and probably the booze) flowing. Bo got chewed out by Kayla for leaving the hospital, but he wasn’t having regrets. Chanel had Johnny's back while he doubted himself, and Kate had a moment alone with John’s portrait, whispering how irreplaceable he was.
But the final twist? That mysterious missing gold coin. Marlena tells Kayla it was just a sign of hope — one that’s now gone. Or is it? This is Days, after all. When one coin disappears, you just know a new chapter’s about to be minted.
