Days of Our Lives Recap | Rafe Wants Answers from Gabi about EJ's Shooting - Tuesday, May 6, 2025 [SPOILERS]
On Days of Our Lives, the drama is dialed all the way up as Rafe storms back into Salem ready to grill Gabi about his missing gun, Jada faces some shady side-eye from Shawn, and Doug gets a second chance thanks to Roman. Oh, and let’s not forget some office desk shenanigans and a mystery photographer creeping in the shadows. Here's your Tuesday DOOL full episode recap.

Rafe’s Back & He’s Not Playing
Salem just got a whole lot hotter and not in a good way. Rafe returns and he’s done pretending everything’s fine. He wants answers, and he wants them now. His first stop? His own sister, Gabi, who has some serious explaining to do about the night EJ got shot. Gabi, meanwhile, is too busy dodging accusations and babysitting her hot mess of a business to be thrilled about this reunion.
But baby, we’re just getting started.
Doug Hits Rock Bottom & Roman Throws Him a Lifeline
Poor Doug. Holly’s texting and calling, but he’s ignoring her like last season’s fashion trends. Instead, he drags himself to the pub to fill out a job application with Roman, only to get nervous when it comes to listing his current address — AKA the homeless shelter. Cue the awkward vibes.
But Roman? Oh, he’s not here for judgment. He’s here to play fairy godfather. Not only does he offer Doug the job, he hands over keys to a room upstairs and even floats a rent loan deal. Doug tears up, and honestly, so did we. Roman’s quote of the day? “You don’t just need a job, you need some guidance.” Preach.
Leo’s Suspect List Sends Rafe Into a Rage — Gabi Is Not Having It
While Rafe’s simmering, he spots Leo’s little “Who Shot EJ?” list and is instantly on edge. When Leo walks in like he owns the place, Rafe lights him up. “Investigate me all you want, but keep Gabi out of your ridiculous nonsense.”
Meanwhile, Gabi is off on a tear, yelling at poor Javi about “typos,” which we all know is code for “I’m unraveling.” Leo dodges Rafe by bringing takeout to Gabi Chic, but Gabi’s not done with her tantrum tour. She returns to scream at Javi (again), storms out (again), and leaves poor Javi to figure out what the hell just happened.
Leo, ever the opportunist, flirts and nudges Javi to jump ship before Gabi goes full meltdown. “Working for Gabi has become a nightmare,” Javi moans. No lies detected.
Jada Handles Suspicion Like a Queen
Shawn decides it’s time to go full detective and drops by Jada’s job to throw some serious shade. His suspect radar? Pointed at her. Jada, cool as a cucumber, admits she had her gun locked up that night — because she didn’t trust herself not to use it. Love a woman with self-awareness and a gun drawer.

Shawn looks mildly stunned but not entirely convinced. Before he can spiral, Leo bursts in, gleefully listing Gabi, Rafe, and Jada as his top three suspects. Jada professionally tells him to get lost while Shawn tries not to combust. Let’s just say the Salem PD’s “no comment” policy is working overtime today.
Rafe Confronts Gabi: “Did You Shoot EJ?”
Back at home, Gabi’s in full-blown rage mode, ranting to Rafe about work, Leo, life — you name it. Rafe lets her go on… then calmly turns and hits her with the bombshell: “Did you shoot EJ with my gun?”
Gabi loses it. “Seriously, Rafe?” she shrieks, before begrudgingly admitting she did take his gun and go to the DiMera mansion. But no, she swears, she didn’t pull the trigger. She overheard EJ arguing with some mystery man and peaced out. Oh, and she saw Ava hanging around but bolting when she showed up.
Rafe believes her. Barely. “I just wish you’d told me this sooner,” he says. Gabi, girl, timing is everything.
Teen Drama & Adoption Decisions on Days
Tate swings by to check on Sophia, who’s mid-emotional spiral. No school events, no adoption plan — basically, her whole life is in shambles. But once Leo reminds her she’s about to turn 18, she suddenly finds her rebellious streak. “I’m gonna stand up to my mother,” she declares. We’ll believe it when we see it, babe.

Tate then rushes to the pub to give Holly the lowdown: he and Sophia are moving forward with the adoption once she turns legal. And hey, maybe they can get back together now? Before Holly can even respond, Roman calls Tate to help with a broken dishwasher. Timing is not his strong suit.
Leo, Javi & Desk Drama — Gabi Chic Turns X-Rated
Back at Gabi Chic, Leo’s back with food and flirtation. Gabi’s conveniently gone, so naturally Javi clears her desk… and the two go at it. Yes, in her office. Yes, on her desk. Can someone call HR?
Shawn & Jada Make Peace, Holly Gets a Surprise, and a Stalker Lurks
Jada and Shawn share a tender moment where he apologizes for suspecting her. She forgives him, because let’s be real — Salem men are exhausting. Meanwhile, Holly finds out Doug’s not just working at the pub, he’s also living there now. She’s happy for him, but also a little salty he didn’t say goodbye properly.
They hug, all smiles — but of course, nothing in Days stays wholesome for long. Outside the pub, while Holly and Doug chat, a pair of gloved hands snaps photos of them from the shadows. Creepy doesn’t even begin to cover it.
