Days of Our Lives Recap | Paulina & Johnny Face Off - Tuesday, May 13, 2025 [SPOILERS]

In Tuesday's Days of Our Lives full episode recap EJ and Philip face off, while Sarah and Xander get cozy with talk of Baby No. 2. Oh, and let’s not forget Paulina’s mama bear moment.

Paulina | DOOL, Peacock

Roman’s Gun Drama and a Shady Flower Pot

Apparently, we’re still not done dissecting Roman’s vanishing gun saga. Turns out, the night EJ got shot, Roman spilled the tea to Johnny about the gun—only for it to go MIA shortly after.

Cue the panic: Roman rushed to the DiMera mansion and found it shoved in a flower pot like a prop in a bad soap parody. And no, he hasn’t mentioned it to Sami, because that woman would turn a pothole into a canyon. He’s also dodging a convo with Johnny, who’s already drowning in guilt over discovering his origin story was more scandal than fairy tale.

Kate and Roman: Love, Lies, and Letter Fakes

While Roman’s busy with flower pots and regrets, Kate has her own drama confession: that letter Vivian forged? Yeah, Philip waved it around like it was gospel. But hey, at least she and Roman agree on one thing—they’ll keep covering for their chaos crew, but maybe, just maybe, try some honesty next time. Revolutionary idea, right?

Paulina’s Warning and Johnny’s Therapy Turnaround

Johnny’s feeling himself again and checking out of the Salem Inn when Paulina storms in with that mother-in-law energy. She’s liked Johnny since day one, but if he hurts Chanel again? Bye-bye, bridge. He tells her he's starting therapy (with an actual professional, not Grandma Marlena) and even got a job—gold star, Johnny. But when the convo veers to EJ’s shooting, Paulina puts him on blast: was he telling Chanel the truth when he swore he didn’t do it?

Sarah’s Surprise and Xander’s Redemption Tour

At the hospital, Xander’s doing the bedside vigil thing while Sarah lets him have it for how he treated Felicity earlier.

And surprise, Felicity shows up! She demands Xander apologize to her sister face to face and challenges him to show a little human decency for once. She even throws in a zinger about him pretending to be the dearly departed Abigail. Ouch. But hey, character growth is real, and both of them seem ready to grow... maybe even their family. Yep, they’re thinking it might be time to try for Baby No. 2. Someone light a candle.

EJ’s Power Grab and Cat’s Guarded Curiosity

EJ is putting that cane to work—hobbling straight into Kayla’s office with big boss energy. He’s bypassing her to pitch the hospital board a purchase offer, but of course, there’s a mysterious little clause attached. Whatever it is, it’s causing tension. Next, he finds himself face-to-face with Cat in the Square, and things get spicy. She wants to know why he bid on her at the auction, and he delivers peak EJ sass: didn’t want someone who hated him or a total stranger. And let’s not forget, they do have history—she impersonated his dead sister-in-law. Classic DOOL romance.

Despite the awkward beginnings, they end up having a surprisingly flirty chat. Cat’s heading out with Chad, but insists it’s not a “date-date.” Still, EJ thinks Chad might have real feelings, and honestly? He’s probably right. Cat is left baffled by how charming EJ is, but he assures her he’s basically Salem’s answer to a saint. Just ask him—he’ll give you a whole list.

Philip Plots, Kevin’s Comeback, and Hospital High Stakes

EJ heads home to plot with Belle, who’s already draped across the couch. He needs her help winning over the hospital board—and her brother, of course. Because surprise: Xander’s trying to buy the hospital, too. Let the Salem real estate games begin.

Meanwhile, Philip is playing every side. He’s working to butter up Xander while getting Kate to pull strings with the board. We finally find out EJ’s hidden clause: the hospital has to take his deal on the spot or he walks. Dramatic much? Oh, and that hospital? It’s housing a miracle cure for sepsis that could be a goldmine—both literally and emotionally, since Bo’s still battling the infection. If that cure works, it could change everything.

Philip wants in, and he just might get his way thanks to one Kevin Lambert, a pharma genius and old pal who happens to work for the developer. Talk about convenient timing.

Xander’s Big Reveal and Sarah’s Shock

Kayla drops by to check on Sarah and casually drops a bombshell: Xander’s in the running to buy the hospital. She’s team Xander all the way, FYI. When Xander returns, he explains that this move is about more than business—it’s personal. Sarah’s nervous, but he promises to keep it classy. They seal the moment with a decision to maybe make another baby. Because nothing says responsible family planning like a hostile hospital takeover, right?

Cat’s Mysterious Call and Philip’s Pharma Plans

Just when you think Cat’s day couldn’t get messier, she gets a cryptic call that clearly shakes her. She tells whoever it is to stop calling. No details yet, but it smells like trouble.

Philip, meanwhile, makes his next power move by calling Kevin. “We have a lot to discuss…” Translation: expect some sneaky business deals and emotional manipulation coming to a full episode recap near you.
