Xander plays coy about what the actual job even is — classic — but Johnny is intrigued enough to ponder a future in business, maybe even adulthood. Growth, maybe?
Chad Plays Matchmaker as Cat Switches Brothers
Elsewhere in Salem, Chad is out here doing God’s work, saving Cat from a date with his own brother. Yes, EJ’s out, and Chad’s in. He swoops in with pastries from Felicity and Sweet Bits and declares their evening will be platonic fun — the kind with flirting and lakeside wine. Cat’s not mad about the upgrade.

But just when things seem light and breezy, Johnny barges in and gets hit with a reminder that EJ is dying to see him. Johnny is not in the forgiving mood and makes sure Chad hears every decibel of that family drama.
Chanel’s Grief and Suspicions Simmer
Meanwhile, Chanel’s curled up on the couch, spiraling. Johnny shattered her heart, and Abe walks in just in time to play Salem’s unofficial grief counselor. He offers a tender tale about losing Isaac years ago and eventually healing. Chanel, though, isn’t convinced she and Johnny will ever get their miracle moment.

And then things get real spicy. Chanel drops a casual “What if Johnny shot EJ?” bomb, and Abe nearly chokes on his own concern. Back at Casa DiMera, EJ updates Dr. Russell on Kayla’s total shutdown. But don’t worry, he’s got backup plans stacked like DiMera secrets. As the doc prepares for a trip, Xander calls with a counteroffer of his own. Plot twist: everyone wants this hospital like it’s a Black Friday deal.
Xander kisses Sarah in the square, then gets wind of EJ’s sneaky business move and springs into action, calling Alex to put their own plan in motion. And you thought the corporate world was boring.
Marlena Doles Out Tough Love While Johnny Soul Searches
Johnny later meets Marlena for breakfast, aka a side of therapy with your eggs. He confesses he talked to Chanel and might maybe want to be a real adult now. Gasp. She calls him with cloak-and-dagger instructions to steal the Versavix off-screen. Classic DOOL move — never miss a chance to mix espionage with hospital politics.
