Johnny DiMera: The Titan Temptation Is Real
Let’s start with Johnny, who decided to strut his DiMera self into Xander’s Titan office like he owns the place. Xander wants a DiMera on the Titan payroll — but not just any DiMera. He’s looking for one who doesn’t have bad blood with the Kiriakises. Translation: he wants a DiMera he can manipulate. Johnny sees right through it, asking if the job offer is just to get at EJ. And guess what? That only makes him more interested. Toxic motivation? Count Johnny in.
Xander plays coy about what the actual job even is — classic — but Johnny is intrigued enough to ponder a future in business, maybe even adulthood. Growth, maybe?
Chad Plays Matchmaker as Cat Switches Brothers
Elsewhere in Salem, Chad is out here doing God’s work, saving Cat from a date with his own brother. Yes, EJ’s out, and Chad’s in. He swoops in with pastries from Felicity and Sweet Bits and declares their evening will be platonic fun — the kind with flirting and lakeside wine. Cat’s not mad about the upgrade.

But just when things seem light and breezy, Johnny barges in and gets hit with a reminder that EJ is dying to see him. Johnny is not in the forgiving mood and makes sure Chad hears every decibel of that family drama.
Chanel’s Grief and Suspicions Simmer
Meanwhile, Chanel’s curled up on the couch, spiraling. Johnny shattered her heart, and Abe walks in just in time to play Salem’s unofficial grief counselor. He offers a tender tale about losing Isaac years ago and eventually healing. Chanel, though, isn’t convinced she and Johnny will ever get their miracle moment.

And then things get real spicy. Chanel drops a casual “What if Johnny shot EJ?” bomb, and Abe nearly chokes on his own concern. Chanel’s not saying he did it — but something definitely snapped in Johnny when EJ took that bullet. Abe advises a chat, but Chanel’s not exactly in a talk-it-out headspace.
EJ Tries to Play Hero — But Everyone's Over It
Let’s talk about EJ, who decided to redecorate Kayla’s office with his smugness. He offers her the hospital like it’s a used car he’s trying to unload. Kayla isn’t buying, and she tells him to take his self-righteous power grab elsewhere.
Still, Sarah finds the idea of a DiMera-funded hospital kinda hot — shocking Kayla and proving Sarah still has a thing for bad boys with bank accounts. But if EJ’s sniffing around, surely other sharks are circling too.
EJ then heads out to moan to Marlena about how hard it is to do the right thing when everyone keeps reminding you you’re the worst. Marlena’s face says it all: try harder. She’s only talking to him for Johnny’s sake, and she’s not about to pretend his past sins didn’t exist. EJ admits he treated Sami like garbage. So, growth? Maybe, but don’t hold your breath.

Behind the Scenes: Plots in Motion
Back at Casa DiMera, EJ updates Dr. Russell on Kayla’s total shutdown. But don’t worry, he’s got backup plans stacked like DiMera secrets. As the doc prepares for a trip, Xander calls with a counteroffer of his own. Plot twist: everyone wants this hospital like it’s a Black Friday deal.
Xander kisses Sarah in the square, then gets wind of EJ’s sneaky business move and springs into action, calling Alex to put their own plan in motion. And you thought the corporate world was boring.
Marlena Doles Out Tough Love While Johnny Soul Searches
Johnny later meets Marlena for breakfast, aka a side of therapy with your eggs. He confesses he talked to Chanel and might maybe want to be a real adult now. Gasp. She suggests therapy — but with someone not related to him (good call). Then he drops the Titan job bomb on her. Marlena’s shook, but she agrees: time to find his own identity and, perhaps, be the husband Chanel deserves. If she’ll still have him.
Romantic Plans and a Medical Emergency
Outdoorsy romance is brewing as Chad and Cat plan a wine date by the lake. But before the lovefest kicks off, Steve and Kayla are pulling a covert mission. She calls him with cloak-and-dagger instructions to steal the Versavix off-screen. Classic DOOL move — never miss a chance to mix espionage with hospital politics.
Meanwhile, Johnny gears up to finally face EJ. Marlena offers to stay, but he bravely tells her to scram. He and EJ square off, tension thicker than Salem fog.
When Brunch Turns into a Nightmare
Just when you think things have settled, Sarah and Xander are back in the square, living their best post-breakfast lives, totally ignoring how Chanel’s quietly falling apart in front of them. She tries to be helpful and grabs scones.
