Chanel Finally Lets Johnny Come Home

Welcome to Monday in Salem, where Chanel corners Johnny with the million-dollar question: Did you shoot EJ? Given how often Johnny fantasized about his dad’s demise, she had reason to ask. Johnny insists there’s a big difference between rage and murder — and while he might’ve wished EJ vanished, he swears he didn’t make it happen. Chanel buys it, mostly. But she’s still handing him a bill for all that unresolved daddy drama he’s dragging around.

Paulina interrupts just long enough to remind everyone of Chanel’s tragically short-lived “five-minute marriage,” and once she’s gone, Johnny pulls out the big guns: he’s going to therapy and even landed a gig at Titan-DiMera. Before he can book another night at the Salem Inn, Chanel shocks him — pack up, pretty boy. It’s time to come home.

Kristen’s Downward Spiral: From Birthday Bash to Begging

Kristen starts her day with big birthday energy, showing up to Rachel’s party with the enthusiasm of a mom about to win “Most Delusional.” Unfortunately, no one else RSVP’d — Rachel’s entire class ditched her. Why? Maybe because she’s the kind of kid who keeps snakes as besties and lies like it’s a sport. Brady’s blunt as ever, pointing out that Rachel might’ve inherited some of those charming qualities from her mother.

Kristen, naturally, lashes out, calling Brady “Daddy drunkest” before backpedaling into an apology spiral. They bond over being terrible parents and agree they’re both responsible for Rachel’s social struggles. Kristen has a breakdown about losing her father’s empire to two corporate clowns, but in true Phoenix fashion, she’s not staying down. She vows to rise again — cue the dramatic music.

She later tries to beg her way into a job with Alex, who makes it crystal clear that her bedroom résumé isn’t the recommendation he’s looking for. Kristen tries the “smart, capable woman” angle, but no dice. At least Brady’s still around… and agrees to come to Rachel’s lonely little party.

Philip Plays Spy, Kate Calls Out Roman

Meanwhile, Alex is trying to enjoy Stephanie’s steamy manuscript — yes, that kind of manuscript — when Philip shows up to talk business.

Alex | DOOL

Hospital business, specifically. Philip’s baffled why Xander wants to buy a money pit, and Alex drops a little truth: EJ’s interested too, which means there’s definitely more to this than bad investments.

Later, Philip creeps into Alex’s office (because boundaries are for other people) and finds a file labeled DiMera Pharmaceuticals. Cue the sneaky phone call to some mysterious Dr. Frame. Oh yeah, something shady’s cooking.

Philip | DOOL

Back at the pub, Kate’s training new hire Doug on how not to die during a robbery — always helpful — and lets it slip that Roman keeps a gun behind the bar. Except… where is that gun? When she calls him out, Roman looks shifty. Upstairs, she presses harder, and he finally admits the gun was taken the night EJ got shot. So yeah, there’s a strong chance someone used his weapon in the crime. This just keeps getting messier.

Holly Skips Prom and Philip Gives Major Creep Vibes

Doug gets personal with Holly, revealing he never went to prom because he dropped out of school. Holly suggests a GED and even offers to help him study. It’s sweet… until Brady crashes the moment to say Tate misses her. Holly exits, clearly not up for teenage drama.

But what’s up with Philip eyeing Holly like she’s hiding state secrets? Ew. The guy’s clearly fishing for info about Xander and needs to quit while he’s behind.
