Liam & Hope | B&B, CBS |
Liam’s Cliff House Crash Pad Isn’t Exactly a Vacation Getaway
Over at the ever-dramatic cliff house, Liam’s got his sickly self parked on Steffy and Finn’s couch, popping pills and trying to pretend everything is peachy. But nothing is. Finn’s looking like the human version of WebMD, making sure Liam stays upright for as long as possible, while Steffy is playing hostess with a side of anxiety.
She tries offering him food like he’s just having a bad day, but Liam has no appetite—because he’s, you know, dying. But no one’s saying that out loud. Instead, they talk about telling Kelly something vague and conveniently untrue about her dad’s new digs. Liam’s adamant: absolutely no one else can know what’s really going on. Especially not Hope.
Cue Steffy, channeling her inner moral compass, pushing Liam to come clean. But Liam’s out here clinging to control like it’s the last slice of cake at a Forrester family brunch. No thank you, ma’am. He’d rather lie to everyone than feel like a “burden.”
Hope Is Not Here for the Vague Vibes
Meanwhile, Hope is pacing around like a woman who just realized her mascara’s missing and her man might be lying to her—because both are true. She’s flashing back to Carter begging for another chance and her gut telling her something’s off. So what does she do? She picks up the phone and calls Liam, who happens to be lounging in Steffy’s living room like it’s a wellness retreat.
Liam feeds her the old “plumbing issues” excuse, and Hope—suspicious but composed—says she’s on her way. Because when your ex sounds sketchy and says he’s moved into your romantic rival’s house, you don’t wait around. You show up.
Hope Arrives & the Lies Get Lamer
By the time Hope walks in, Finn’s doing the polite hello thing while Steffy’s definitely bracing for drama. Liam’s wrapped in a headscarf like a fashion-forward monk and babbles something about forgetting his hair products. Hope asks how long this little cliffside retreat is supposed to last and gets the same watery excuse about “plumbing problems.” Right. Sure. Hope’s face says it all—she’s not buying it, but she’s letting it slide. For now.
Once they’re alone, she gives Liam that look and straight-up asks what’s really going on. And what does he do? Tries to redirect the conversation to her love life with Carter. Smooth, Liam. Real smooth.
Carter’s Guilt Trip Hits Ridge Right in the Feels
Elsewhere in the glitzy Forrester offices, Carter is dragging around a guilt complex the size of the Eiffel Tower. He’s lamenting to Ridge about how hard it is to walk the halls without Hope being part of the Forrester family fold anymore. Ridge, forever king of holding grudges, says Hope hasn’t exactly been groveling for forgiveness, which in Ridge-speak means, “She’s not getting her job back.”
Carter points out that he betrayed Ridge too, and look—he’s still employed and sipping espresso in the main office. So why is Hope being iced out like she started a scandal blog? Carter wants Ridge to do something about it, but Ridge isn’t budging.
Still, once Carter is alone, he gets all in his feelings, staring longingly at a Hope for the Future folder and texting her like he’s the lead in a sappy rom-com. “Can we talk?” Sigh. Someone get this man a playlist of sad love songs and a cardigan.
Will & Electra: Young, Hot, and Dreamy
Over in the land of flirtation and sparkly jewelry, Will and Electra are basking in their Forrester glow-up. Ridge is throwing out compliments, Electra’s living her dream, and Will’s acting like he’s on a high school date—complete with sweet confessions and not-so-innocent kisses.
Turns out, Will only stuck around L.A. because of her. Forget Katie, forget boarding school, this man is whipped. And honestly? It’s adorable. He tells Electra she changed his life, they kiss again, and somewhere in the background, violins start playing. OK, not literally, but emotionally? Yes.
Finn & Steffy: Holding It Together (Barely)
Back at the hospital, Finn and Steffy are dealing with the cold, hard facts about Liam’s health. The neuro team wants him in for more tests, and Steffy is unraveling. She’s seen miracles happen before—hello, Grandpa Eric’s second chance at life—but this time, it’s hitting too close to home.
She’s in tears thinking about Kelly and Beth losing their father, and Finn is doing his best to be the rock she needs. But even he’s shaken. This isn’t just a medical case. This is family. And they’re watching it fall apart.
Hope & Liam’s Tender Moment Is a Gut Punch
Back at the cliff house, Hope tries again to get the truth out of Liam, but he’s still playing the “deflection” game like it’s his job. He wants to talk about Carter. She wants to talk about him. But somehow, in the middle of the chaos, they manage to land in this painfully sweet space where they acknowledge everything they’ve been through.
Hope remembers the love, the history, and even admits Carter staying at Forrester hurt. Liam tells her Carter really does love her, and she should consider giving it another shot. He says, “Love the ones you love,” with a calm that practically screams he knows what’s coming. Hope, clearly shaken, softens.
And just like that, she sees Liam not just as her ex or Beth’s dad, but as the man who’s still, somehow, her emotional anchor. Even if he’s slipping away.
