Diane’s Dream House, Jack’s Drama & Chelsea’s Job Offer Confusion
Jack Abbott is rendered mute, and not because of a family scandal or a hostile boardroom takeover — no, it’s Diane’s latest renovation of their home that’s got the man tongue-tied. She’s practically begging him to say something, anything. The silence is deafening, Diane. The man is just... absorbing the blend of “old world charm” and “modern aesthetic” — a phrase that clearly took Diane hours to rehearse.

Eventually, Jack peels himself away from the shock and manages to say the magic words: it’s perfect, and so is she. Cue the champagne clinking and flashbacks to daddy John Abbott giving out warm fuzzies. Even Kyle joins in the lovefest, reassuring his parents that he and little Harrison will still haunt the halls often. You can’t get rid of the Abbotts that easily, darling.

Diane’s just soaking up the praise when she dares to ask Jack if there’s anything he’d change. Mistake. Of course, there is — Jack has thoughts. That mold detail? A smidge too formal. The velvet on the couch? A little too... feminine. Diane, visibly exasperated, throws down the velvet gauntlet. It’s the same material Jack once drooled over in Traci’s New York apartment. But fine — if he wants to mansplain interior design, so be it. Still, she’s got the upper hand: the portrait above the fireplace? A rare find she dug out from the attic. Dina bought it in ‘56, and Diane had it reframed at a cost she swore she’d never disclose (but totally will when she needs leverage). Jack’s moved. Practically weeping. How dare he ever doubt her? This house is her house now. Queen Diane reigns.
Adam’s Public Spectacle & Chelsea’s Internal Spiral
Meanwhile, over at Society, Adam’s putting on a show of his own. He’s invited Chelsea out and tells her he’s got something important to ask her. Naturally, Chelsea’s brain does a triple flip and lands squarely on “marriage proposal.” Please. She’s not buying what she assumes he’s selling — not yet. She calls the idea “premature” and “extreme,” and Adam lets her squirm in her own assumptions a little too long before dropping the truth bomb: he wants her to work with him at Newman Media. As in, be his right-hand powerhouse COO. Not his wife. Big difference.

Oh, and if you thought Adam wasn’t going to kneel in front of Chelsea to pitch the job like a grand romantic gesture? Think again. He absolutely does, in full view of about four people — who, according to Adam, count as “a crowd.” Chelsea’s mortified. Still, she agrees to think about it. She’s not totally crazy.
Audra, Lily & the Interrogation Games
Across town at the GCAC, Audra sashays over to Lily, who’s not even pretending to enjoy the company. The small talk about Amy? Brief. The real conversation? All about Damian, and whether Lily’s warming up to him — which, of course, is just Audra fishing for intel. Too bad Holden has slipped into the room unnoticed and is eavesdropping like it’s his full-time job.
Lily’s not buying the new and improved Audra. Not today. She flat out says she doesn’t trust the woman because she’s been a walking red flag since day one. When Holden finally reveals himself, Lily pivots and demands to know who’s running the circus in LA while he’s playing spy games in Genoa City.
Audra acts all innocent — nothing to hide, she says. Really? Because Lily's calling her out for knowing that Holden was posing as Damian and saying nothing. That’s not nothing, that’s a soap opera felony. But Audra’s unbothered and continues to gaslight her way through the conversation.
Holden’s Shifty Vibes & the LA Secrets No One’s Admitting To
Holden gets grilled like a steak at a country club BBQ. He insists Damian’s in control and knows what’s up. Audra’s not buying it and straight-up asks if Damian and Dumar are dipping their fingers into something shady. Holden deflects like a pro — but it’s clear he’s squirming.

Later, when Holden steps away to take a conveniently timed call from Damian, Lily goes full detective mode on Audra. She throws Nate into the mix and reminds her that she claimed things with Holden were “casual.” Girl, please. Nothing about Holden and Audra is casual. There’s a storm brewing, and it smells like betrayal and Botox.
Back to That Job Offer: Chelsea Has Conditions
Chelsea’s still reeling from Adam’s business-proposal-that-looked-like-an-actual-proposal. She admits the job would be a challenge — and not just professionally. Could they work together without wanting to strangle each other? Adam assures her he’s changed. He’s not that guy anymore. He even throws in some “I won’t push you away, promise” sweetness to seal the deal.
Chelsea’s conflicted. She loves her job at Marchetti, doesn’t want to leave Summer high and dry, and isn’t sure she wants to dive into the deep end of Newman Media. But Adam, ever the smooth talker, tells her Sally and Chloe can pick up the slack — he needs her. And to Chelsea’s horror, when she gives him a peck on the cheek, the entire restaurant erupts into thunderous applause that sounds more like a standing ovation at the Oscars than a kiss in a half-empty restaurant.
She’s blushing. He’s smug. Society’s finest are entertained.
A Velvet-Filled Ending and One Big Question: Who’s Really in Control?
Back at the Abbott house, Jack finally sees the light. Diane’s renovations have turned the place into a cozy-yet-elegant dreamscape. He declares she’s now part of the family fabric, as important as the antique rugs and framed art pieces that cost more than most cars. It’s all very touching. Diane nearly bursts into happy tears. She did good, and she knows it.
Meanwhile, Audra and Holden lock eyes across the GCAC like two people with way too many secrets and not enough plausible deniability. Whatever went down in LA? It’s still lingering like stale perfume, and Lily knows something’s coming. The question is: how bad will it be when it finally explodes?
