Rafe & Jada Say Bye-Bye, Belle & EJ Play Hearts, Plus Bo’s Fate Drops a Bomb
First up, we find Brady brooding like a man whose phone battery is on 1% and his soul is running even lower. He’s moping in the pub, staring at Ava’s contact info like it’s going to text itself, when Paulina breezes in demanding updates about his dad. Spoiler alert: no news. But don’t worry, Paulina’s ready to distract with a pep talk about the adoption — both of them agreeing it's for the best. As if anything goes according to plan around here.
Meanwhile, Gabi’s over at the station giving Rafe the lowdown on her latest impulsive disaster: blowing fifteen grand on a date with Alex. Because sure, that’s a solid investment when you might be fired tomorrow. Xander and Philip are sharpening their pink slips, and Gabi’s out here shopping like she’s got tenure. She's got decisions to make, and none of them include common sense.
And speaking of bad choices, Rafe’s got one too: meeting Jada for a little chit-chat that’s definitely not going to end in hugs and rainbows. Gabi hopes they'll patch things up. Gabi, sweetie, have you met this show?
After she peaces out, Rafe tries to be productive with his laptop and recorder, but plot twist — the memory card's gone. Who’s shocked? No one. Salem's technology security is basically at a toddler’s level.
Gabi Tries (and Fails) to Get Brady’s Help
Gabi, never one to quit while she’s ahead, storms into her office and launches the Titan Employee Manual across the room — right into Brady’s face. Honestly? Best use of corporate paperwork ever. Brady, always the long-suffering martyr, tries to calm her down, which naturally just fuels her rage.
Then Gabi pitches the wild idea that Brady should help her buy back Gabi Chic because he’s got family ties to Xander and Philip. Brady, absolutely not here for her nonsense, reminds her that just because she betrayed him before doesn’t mean he’s in a giving mood now. In fact, he suggests she suck it up and stick it out. Harsh? Maybe. Necessary? Absolutely.
Jada & Rafe Rip Off the Band-Aid
Over at the station, Jada's spilling all the messy details to Shawn about her crumbling relationship with Rafe. Shawn’s supportive but clearly has other plans — namely, grilling EJ at the hospital.
Jada barely has time to catch her breath before Rafe shows up looking like he’s ready for a funeral. Honestly, he might as well be. Jada doesn’t beat around the bush: trust is dead, love isn’t enough, and their relationship is about as stable as a house of cards in a hurricane. Rafe tries to fight for them, bless his heart, but it’s game over.
They part ways with sad hugs and half-hearted promises to miss each other. Oh, and Rafe? He’s quitting Black Patch and accepting a mysterious out-of-town job. Bye-bye, badge. Bye-bye, relationship. Bye-bye, dignity.
Belle & EJ Proclaim Their Doomed Love
Meanwhile, at Salem Hospital, EJ's laid up and milking every ounce of sympathy he can. Belle saunters in, and before you can say “bad idea,” she’s confessing she loves him. EJ practically sobs — because of course he does — and warns that his emotions might just be trauma hormones talking. Belle, unfazed, doubles down on her declaration.
EJ admits he’s realized he's a trash human, and he doesn’t want his obituary to read, “EJ DiMera: A Cautionary Tale.” Belle gives him some hope, telling him the adoption is moving forward — with one little hitch: he can’t be involved with the baby. At all.
Cue EJ’s internal meltdown. But Belle soothes his ego enough to keep him from spiraling completely... just in time for Shawn to stroll in and catch them playing footsie. Shawn’s face practically says, "Seriously? HIM?"
After Shawn storms out, EJ swears he saw Ava the night before the shooting and that it wasn’t exactly a lovefest. More like threats and daggers. Cute.

Johnny Gets Cold Feet
Johnny, meanwhile, is out here pretending to job hunt while Chanel practically plans their baby’s entire future. Johnny’s vibe? Less "let’s build a family" and more "I can barely build a sandwich." Chanel’s too excited to notice.

Later, Johnny confides in Belle that he’s not sure he’s ready to be a father. Surprise, surprise. He’s still nursing the trauma of learning about his own messy conception, and he’s terrified he’s inherited the Worst Parent Ever gene. Belle reassures him that honesty is better than ruining a child’s life. Which, frankly, is the most reasonable advice anyone's given all day.
Memory Cards, Missing Fathers & Messy Love Triangles
Back at Paulina and Chanel’s place, they’re practically floating with joy, decorating with baby clothes and dreams. Johnny’s smile is so fake it might as well have a price tag.
Belle swings back to EJ’s bedside to spill that Sami knows about their little lovefest — and predictably, she’s not sending a congratulatory Edible Arrangement. EJ, ever the charming devil, laughs it off and promises Belle she’s tough enough to survive the backlash. They share a tender moment, Belle admits she hasn’t totally forgiven him (good instincts, girl), but she believes he can change. Which sounds sweet... if you forget that he literally just remembered yanking a memory card out of a police device. Growth!
Elsewhere, Rafe tells Gabi that his love life is officially dead in the water. They share a hug of mutual disappointment. Oh, and Rafe randomly asks if she knows anything about a missing memory card. Gabi, channeling all her inner innocence, says nope.
And just when you thought we were safe, Shawn gets a call from Hope. Cue the ominous tone. Something's up with Bo, and it's not good. No peace, no quiet, just more drama, and honestly? Would we want it any other way?
