On Tuesday's scorching Days of Our Lives full episode recap, Rafe and Sami’s morning-after bliss is cut short by family drama, Jada is desperate and reach out, and Kristen has a chaotic corporate meltdown.
Rafe & Sami Can't Quit Each Other

Well, well, well. Look who decided to turn up the drama dial to maximum chaos on Days of Our Lives. Who needs closure when you can have morning sex and waffles? Rafe and Sami are officially back on their nonsense. Not only did they spend the night together, but they were basking in the afterglow when Javi waltzed in to find his cousin and his ex-wife cozy and completely unclothed. You could practically hear the record scratch.
Javi, to his credit, handled the awkward moment by fleeing and announcing there were waffles downstairs, because of course. Rafe, ever the charmer, assured Sami their reunion wasn’t revenge sex — even though Jada’s still very much wrapped up with Shawn (yeah, her ex’s cousin, because this is Salem and everybody’s related somehow).
And Sami? She was living for it. No sneaking around. No hiding in closets. Just two consenting adults getting their groove back. But of course, this being Days, the afterglow doesn’t last. Sami floated the idea of Rafe moving back to Italy with her. Rafe, in true tortured-hero fashion, said no — and yes, he knew she only asked to see what he’d say. But before she dipped, they had one of those soft, meaningful conversations that screams “unfinished business.” Classic DOOL.
Then came the text from Jada, asking to meet at Small Bar. Oh Rafe, baby, your life is about to get complicated again.
Meanwhile, at the Hernandez House
Downstairs, Gabi and Leo were throwing verbal jabs over a chaotic breakfast that involved job insecurity, snarky digs, and a not-so-subtle accusation that Gabi might’ve tried to kill EJ. Casual Tuesday stuff.
Leo’s got opinions, and when Javi returned, still reeling from the whole “Rafe and Sami are getting freaky again” bombshell, things got even juicier. It took Gabi and Leo a hot second to realize which ex-wife he meant — and then in strutted Sami herself, looking smug and ready to serve a side of shade with her waffles.
Leo, bless his delusional heart, tried to make nice. Sami, being Sami, shut that down with a flat “No, you may not” when he asked if he could call her by her name. That’s our girl.
She didn’t stop there — oh no. Sami made it her personal mission to rattle Javi by dragging up every piece of Leo’s dirty laundry. Unfortunately for her, Javi already knows it all. So that little power play? Denied. She shrugged, took one last bite of waffle, and sashayed right out the door, leaving a stunned breakfast table in her wake.
Queen behavior.
Kristen’s Meltdown and Melinda’s Mess
Elsewhere in Salem, Kristen woke up not in a jail cell, but at a table with a plate of Sweet Bits and a whole lot of attitude. Enter Melinda, ready to drop the bomb: Kristen’s been removed as CEO of DiMera thanks to the Titan takeover. And just like that, the breakfast pastries didn’t matter anymore.
Cue the Kristen Krash: rage, denial, and a whole lot of entitlement. She tried to storm out, but Shawn and JJ stopped her with a pesky little detail — the bullet they recovered from the victim didn’t match Kristen’s gun. Still, that doesn't mean she’s in the clear. There could be another weapon involved, which Kristen of course denied with her usual eye-roll flair.
Melinda, queen of insults, gave up trying to make her point, and with a few parting shots (and no small amount of disdain), Kristen was free to leave. First stop? Getting her gun back. Second stop? Retaking her throne at DiMera — or trying to.
She barged into her old office like it was still hers, only to find Melinda trying (and failing) to stop her. And then in waltzed Xander, calm as can be, ready to inform Kristen and Melinda that he’s the new king of this castle. Oh, and Melinda? You’re fired, too.
Kristen responded the only way she knows how — by pulling a gun on him. Because what’s a hostile takeover without a little firearm flourish?
Jada's Heartbreak & Stephanie’s Pep Talk
Jada, meanwhile, was out here trying to put her shattered heart back together. At Stephanie’s place, the two friends debriefed over coffee and the Spectator’s headline about the Titan-DiMera bombshell. But the real story? Jada’s emotional wreckage.
She’s still not over Rafe, despite being with Shawn. Yes, the same Shawn who used to be with Sami’s sister. Again, it’s Salem. Just go with it.
Stephanie played therapist and cheerleader, insisting that Rafe clearly still loves her, otherwise he wouldn’t be this upset. Jada, still clinging to hope, texted him — and surprise, no response. But Stephanie, ever the optimist, pushed her to show up at Small Bar anyway. “What do you have to lose?” she asked, with just the right amount of wine-mom wisdom.
The answer, dear Stephanie, might be dignity. But sure, shoot your shot, Jada.
The Suspect List Shrinks — But Gabi’s in the Hot Seat
Back on the criminal side of things, JJ and Shawn had to face a cold, hard truth: Kristen may be a lot of things, but this time, she’s not the shooter. Which leaves other suspects — and yes, that includes Gabi.
JJ approached her with his trademark calm and an ominous “We need to talk in private.” Gabi, queen of dramatics, immediately knew this wasn’t a social call. With Kristen out of the picture, someone’s got to be the villain — and her name is inching up that list fast.
Gabi’s face said it all. The tables are turning, and she knows it.
One Last Sip at Small Bar
Jada sat alone, checking her phone like a woman clinging to hope and pride in equal measure. Just when she was about to call it a night, who strolls in but Rafe himself.
No words yet, but the tension? Thicker than a Salem fog.
