Meanwhile, Carter, poor man, is trying to drop a very awkward hint about Hope (yes, that Hope), but Daphne waves him off like he’s mentioning expired coupons. She’s laser-focused on what they can build. And just when she tries to seal her manipulation with a kiss — enter Zende, stage left, with the best-timed interruption of the episode. Apparently, Will is looking for Carter. We all know that’s code for “Run, buddy, run.”

Zende, not one to keep things surface-level, immediately calls Daphne out. Girl, what exactly are you doing?
