Phyllis Senses Trouble at Society
Over drinks at Society, Phyllis updates Nick about Summer possibly falling in love in Milan. She wonders if their daughter is better off staying far away from Kyle and Claire. Nick confides that he thinks Summer still has feelings for Kyle but doesn’t want to watch her ex swoon over her cousin. Phyllis argues Summer is tougher than he gives her credit for, then flips the spotlight back on Nick. She suspects his sudden interest in Cane has more to do with using her as an informant. Nick denies it, but Phyllis calls it forced. Is he really trying to play allies with a man who once locked him up?
Claire’s Torn Between Kyle and Victor
At Crimson Lights, Nikki sits with Claire and gently reminds her that family takes care of its own. Claire admits she appreciates the support but still feels like she will never see her grandfather the same way again. Nikki encourages her not to give up on Victor, but Claire feels pushed away. When Nikki learns that Audra staged a kiss with Kyle, she is horrified. Claire insists she would never stoop to poison or Jordan-era tricks, but she is clearly plotting to fight back. Nikki hugs her and wishes her happiness with Kyle, while Claire admits something is still gnawing at her and she is not sure how to handle it.
Lily and Cane Hit Another Wall
On the train, Lily lays it out for Cane. If he wants her support with the twins, he needs to abandon whatever scheme he is plotting. Cane counters by asking what would stop him from agreeing then doing whatever he pleases anyway. He claims their love is once in a lifetime and wants another chance, but Lily reminds him that door closed years ago. The conversation spirals into another stalemate. Later, when Holden arrives about a job, Lily is wary of Cane’s decision to rehire him. Holden may think Cane is a fair boss, but Lily warns both men that playing with fire will only end in disaster.
Nate Pushes Audra for the Truth
In the park, Nate revisits the spot where he broke the devastating news to Amy about her son. Audra sympathizes but Nate is not finished. He presses her about pulling out of their deal in Nice, noting that Victoria assumed Victor was the one who backed out. Audra insists she simply came to her senses, blaming ambition for clouding her judgment. Nate is not buying it. Her defensiveness convinces him she is holding something back. Audra takes his hands and insists she values his advice, even revealing she plans to work with Sally. Nate supports her decision but is unsettled that she continues to keep part of the story to herself.
Family Lines Drawn
Lily shares with Phyllis and Nick that the twins are upset about their father’s return. Phyllis assures her that they will forgive Cane in time, but Lily vows that if Cane hurts them any more than he already has, he will answer to her. Meanwhile, Cane leaves a message for Charlie, urging both twins to call because there is a lot to discuss. Nick thinks Cane is on edge without Carter and wonders if Phyllis would consider opening a door to her old flame. Phyllis scoffs that she has no influence, but admits Lily does.
