Cat’s Fever Dreams Cause Real-Life Awkwardness

Poor Chad. One minute he is playing nurse to a woozy Cat, the next he is caught in the middle of a surprise smooch. Cat, still burning up with a 103-degree fever, grabs him for a kiss before drifting back into a daze. When she wakes up later, her fever is gone, but her dignity has taken a hit. Mortified, she asks if she actually kissed him. Chad assures her it must have been a dream. Sure, Chad… and Salem is known for its subtlety.

Belle and EJ’s Love Story Goes Up in Flames

Belle stomps home with Marlena, fuming over EJ’s stunt in court. Marlena swears Sami would never gloat over her sister’s misery (has she met her own daughter?), but Belle is not buying it. They both dread tomorrow — Belle faces EJ in court again while Marlena faces hypnosis. After Marlena leaves, Belle’s anger boils over and she storms back out.

At the DiMera mansion, EJ is brooding with a bruised ego and an even sorer hand after punching an ice bucket. Gwen stops by for some snark before Belle arrives to finish what she started. She accuses him of being worse than Stefano because at least Stefano never pretended to have a soul. EJ swears he loves her with all his heart, but Belle is done. Once the trial ends, she never wants to see or hear from him again. No door slam was shown, but you could practically hear it echo through Salem.

Dinner Dates, Drunken Drama and Public Kisses

Over at The Bistro, Sarah is busy making a point by planting a kiss on Brady right in front of Xander. When Xander moves in for a swing, Brady blocks it and Gabi drags Xander out. Sarah apologizes to Brady, who takes it in stride, but she quickly grows uncomfortable under the other diners’ stares and calls for a rain check.

Gabi returns to the restaurant to settle the bill and finds out they are banned from the place. Back outside, Xander tries to apologize to both Sarah and Brady, promising it will never happen again. Sarah is over it and hits him with an ultimatum: start anger management with Marlena tomorrow or lose custody of their daughter.

Gwen Pours Salt on Sarah’s Wounds

If Sarah thought her night could not get worse, Gwen proves her wrong. She sidles up to brag that Xander is moving on… with her. Sarah fires back that he kissed Gabi, but Gwen claims what she and Xander have is “real” and that they picked up right where they left off — like Sarah never existed. Sarah calls her bluff, so Gwen oh-so-helpfully suggests she check with Leo, who just happened to see them check into the Salem Inn.

Marlena Puts Xander in the Hot Seat

Marlena sits Xander down for his first anger management session, and for once, he drops the bluster. He admits he is terrified of losing his daughter and pleads for her help. Marlena reminds him she has treated people who have hurt her before, but he will need to be open and vulnerable for this to work. Xander swears he is ready, but in Salem, we will believe it when we see it.
