Days of Our Lives Recap - Friday, August 15, 2025 | EJ Exposes Chanel In Court Before Johnny Fires Him

It was a whirlwind Friday on Days of Our Lives with EJ throwing his own client under the bus, Sophia having a meltdown in front of Tate, and Leo finding creative ways to enjoy being sequestered with Javi checking in at just the right time.

Sophia Breaks Down in Tate’s Arms

At the Pub, Tate is heartbroken after being denied a chance to meet his daughter. Sophia tries to comfort him but gets more anxious when Ari arrives pushing Tesoro’s stroller. Sophia can barely hide her panic, and when Tate asks why she seems so familiar with the baby, she fumbles a flimsy excuse about running into him before. Tate doesn’t push it, but Sophia completely unravels, tears and all. Tate promises to let go of his obsession with meeting his daughter, not realizing Sophia is holding onto a very big secret.

Leo Plays Sick and Gets a Kiss

Over at the Salem Inn, Leo is less than thrilled about being forced to share a room with Adam, the happiest juror in Salem. Adam’s wife is apparently Leo’s biggest fan, and he cannot wait to share every wholesome thought with his fabulous new roommate. Just when Leo thinks he can’t take another minute, he fakes a health scare and has Adam dialing 9-1-1. Enter EMT Javi, who gives Leo a private exam that ends with a kiss instead of a medical chart. Jury sequestration never looked so sweet.

EJ Goes Too Far in Court

At the courthouse, Johnny begs EJ not to drag Chanel through the mud. But when Chanel takes the stand, EJ does exactly that. He plays a damaging video of Chanel threatening him, and despite her protests, the damage is done. The judge ends the day with Belle promising to take over Chanel’s questioning tomorrow, but the blow to her credibility is already hanging in the air. Belle and Paulina both worry, but Chanel insists she’ll hold her head high.

Johnny Fires Back

Later in the Square, Johnny comforts Chanel, who swears the video is fake. Belle agrees and Johnny hatches a plan to get it analyzed by an expert in AI. If it really is a deepfake, EJ’s entire strategy could crumble. By the time Johnny storms into the DiMera mansion, he is fired up and ready to cut ties. With no hesitation, he delivers two cold words to his father: you’re fired.
