Eva Learns Her Family’s Shocking Secret
Leslie is not buying what Peaches is selling. She accuses her of running a hustle and working with Nicole, but Peaches isn’t rattled in the least. She says she doesn’t know Nicole from Adam and whips out documents to prove her story. According to Peaches, there’s a fund set up by a mystery donor for Barbara’s surviving family, which makes Leslie the last heir standing. Translation: Leslie is about to be loaded.
Later, Leslie fills Eva in, and her daughter is convinced mama has completely lost it… until Peaches herself backs up the story. Once Peaches heads out, Leslie vows that if she really does strike it rich, the first thing she’ll do is get Peaches the best medical care money can buy.
Derek Gets Devastating News
Ashley stuns Shanice by asking her to be Derek’s physical therapist. Despite their past drama, Shanice agrees, promising she’ll push him harder than anyone else could. She makes it clear this isn’t about their history, it’s about helping Derek fight his way back.
Derek, meanwhile, thinks he’s regaining feeling in his legs, but Madison delivers the heartbreaking truth: it’s just phantom limb syndrome. Shanice introduces herself as his new PT, and Derek realizes he’s in for a grueling road ahead. By the end of the day, Madison tells him bluntly that he’ll be leaving the hospital in a wheelchair. There’s no timeline, no guarantee, and no promise that he’ll ever walk again.
Vanessa Tells Doug to Step Back or Else

Ted sulks at the Uptown bar, watching Nicole from a distance. Enter Peaches, who has no idea who he is but immediately senses his sad puppy energy. She tells him to get off the stool and fight for the woman he loves, because wasting time on self-pity is a losing game. Honestly, it’s the kind of blunt wisdom Ted has desperately needed.
Inspired, Ted finally musters the courage to approach Nicole. She teases him about moving on with an older woman, and he apologizes for his messy behavior at the club. Nicole isn’t exactly throwing open the door for a reunion though. Instead, she makes it clear he might want to stop chasing a dream that’s already slipped away.
