Steve Takes the Case He Swore He Wouldn’t
At Black Patch, Kayla tries to enjoy chowder with Steve, but her mind’s on Marlena’s recent fainting spell. Once she leaves, Gabi swoops in with a proposal to dig up dirt on Xander and Philip. Steve shoots her down instantly, citing family ties and personal ethics. Gabi calls him out, insisting Salem can’t handle a Titan-DiMera superpower combo. After some back-and-forth, Steve caves. Gabi leaves with a sly grin, knowing she just landed Salem’s best PI.
Marlena Haunted by Her Queen of the Night Dream
Marlena tries to convince Kayla she’s fine, but confesses she fears something’s wrong with her soul. Her recurring dream of being Stefano’s Queen of the Night has her spooked, especially after Susan’s ominous premonition. Kayla reminds her Stefano’s long gone, but Marlena isn’t entirely comforted. When Julie drops by with grief memoirs, Marlena lights up, grateful for her friend’s unwavering support.
Julie Gets Backup in the Square
Julie and Gwen have a fiery showdown over the reclaimed Horton necklace until Gwen’s shut down by Foster, the gentlemanly bookstore owner who steps in to defend Julie. Inside, the two old friends share a warm reunion and wax nostalgic about books and the shop itself. Julie’s heart sinks when Foster reveals he’s selling the place, but she promises to help find a buyer who’ll keep the beloved bookstore alive. For now, she leaves with books for Marlena and a renewed sense of connection.
