Young and the Restless Recap - Monday, June 16, 2025 | Victor Drops Clues About Dumas in the South of France While a Mystery Man Watches Their Every Move

What do a luxury train ride, unresolved daddy issues and one very smug Victor Newman have in common? They all collided in this drama-packed episode of The Young and the Restless. While Victor plays international puppet master, Adam decides not to be his father’s minion for once and Holden keeps hanging around like a bad Tinder date. Here’s your Monday Y&R recap served hot and sassy.

Mystery man spies on Genoa City residents in France | Y&R, CBS SONY

All Aboard the Ego Express

The Newman clan rolled into Dumas’ luxury train looking like they were auditioning for a Bond film—if Bond were into caviar, champagne and passive aggression. Sharon tried to be friendly, but Nikki, Queen of Cold Shoulders, wasn't having it. Victor? He’s brooding in the corner like he’s about to launch a hostile takeover of the train itself. When Sharon finds a welcome note with the ominous phrase “wait and hope,” Victor's all “Ah yes, Count of Monte Cristo,” because of course he would reference that.

Nick and Sharon politely sip champagne while secretly wondering if Dumas has a poison hobby, and even Nikki has to backpedal after making an “oops, was that too dark?” joke due to Sharon's recent kidnapping and drugging. The big question floating through the dining car like cigar smoke: who is Dumas, and what twisted game are they boarding this train to play?

Adam Puts Family Over Victor - Did Hell Freeze Over?

Adam, meanwhile, is doing something wild: having a conscience. Distracted and clearly stressed over not publishing the anti-Billy smear campaign, he vents to Chelsea, who reminds him Victor's focused on his own games in Europe. But Adam knows his dad never forgets a thing—not birthdays, betrayals, or missed publishing deadlines.

Chelsea tries to help stir up a new scandal to appease Big Vic, but they come up empty. Turns out Victor already knew about Tucker being locked up in India because he's always five moves ahead. But here’s the plot twist: Adam decides not to run the hit pieces on Billy. Why? Because of Connor. And Chelsea. And—gasp—his own moral compass. He picks love over loyalty to Victor, and when Chelsea says she’s fallen back in love with him, he says it right back. Is this really Adam?

Holden and Nate: The Pettiest Battle

Over in the messy boy drama department, Nate and Holden are circling each other like two roosters with too much gel and not enough purpose. Holden makes it crystal clear he’s not here to pick a fight with Nate—he’s just bitter that his BFF Damian turned out to be a backstabbing snake. Nate tries to be the bigger man but ends up snapping when Holden gets a little too nostalgic about his LA “adventures” with Audra.

Holden, of course, gets smug about Nate possibly being jealous. Nate shuts that down hard and tells him to take his LA memories and go relive them—preferably in LA. But Holden’s not going anywhere, because he’s grown fond of Genoa City. Of course he has. Who doesn’t love sticking around where they’re not wanted?

Victor and Billy Square Off - Again

Just when the Newman train trip couldn’t get any tenser, Billy and Sally strut onto the train. Victor barely acknowledges them, while Nikki gives the most polite brush-off in 2025 TV history. Billy, forever poking the bear, wonders what Dumas has in store for everyone. Victor’s reply? Nothing but a backhanded reminder that Billy’s an incompetent fool. Classic.

Victor | Y&R, CBS

The shade doesn’t stop there. Billy throws in a jab about Victor being nervous, which of course he denies—he’s Victor Newman. Nervous is not in his vocabulary. But when Sharon pushes him to finally reveal who Dumas is, he dodges the question like a seasoned politician. So yes, he knows. No, he’s not telling. And in the final moments of the show; someone is watching this trainwreck from a remote camera, promising "it won’t be long now". We sure hope so!

Final Stop: Drama Central

As the train begins its mystery ride, everyone’s wondering where this trip is really headed. Victor won’t confirm anything, Adam's growing a conscience, Nate's running out of patience back home, and Holden’s still...around. With Audra finally touching down in France and sending Nate a flirty “mon amour” message, it’s only a matter of time before secrets get spilled and alliances start crumbling.
