Johnny Comes Clean... Sort Of
Johnny DiMera is finally done pretending he’s innocent. Roman and Marlena tag-teamed him at the Brady Pub and got the truth out of him — he did steal Roman’s gun, and yes, he pointed it at EJ during a meltdown. According to Johnny, things got heated after learning the brutal truth about his conception. He made it to the mansion, waved the gun in his father’s face, and nearly pulled the trigger. Nearly. EJ talked him down and Johnny claims he handed over the gun... and that’s where his memory ends. Cue the waterworks. He says he didn’t shoot anyone and didn’t stash the weapon outside. But guess what? That gun had a bullet missing. So unless EJ shot himself (doubtful), someone else showed up after Johnny left and finished the job. Now Marlena and Roman are side-eyeing each other wondering who actually pulled the trigger, because Johnny’s dramatic confession only solves half the mystery.
Stephanie’s Manuscript Goes Viral and She’s Fuming
Stephanie just wanted a quiet moment at the hospital, but instead found her ultra-private manuscript floating around like free coffee coupons. The staff passed it around, and she is livid. Naturally, she confronts Alex, because who else could’ve made this mess? Turns out Kate was the unintentional leak, but instead of apologizing, Alex tells her Kate loved it and thinks it could be a best seller. Stephanie is stunned — flattered, sure, but still humiliated. This little “oops” might end up launching her literary career, but don’t expect her to thank Alex anytime soon.

Sophia Hires Melinda and Brady Is Not Having It
Sophia’s back to making questionable decisions. With her due date creeping closer, she ignores her mom and Tate and decides to hire Melinda Trask for her baby’s adoption. She’s broke, desperate, and doesn’t care who gets mad. Melinda, ever the queen of complicated cases, agrees to help for free and even opens up about her own teen pregnancy. The bonding moment is sweet... until Brady shows up. He gives Melinda a piece of his mind and makes it clear he hasn’t forgotten what she did to Nicole and Eric. Translation: stay away from his family. Melinda later decides to tap out and tells Sophia she’ll find her another pro bono lawyer, but girl, the damage is done.
Philip Keeps Quiet While Xander Makes Power Moves
Philip is back in his hospital bed being haunted by nightmares and dodging the truth like it’s a Salem tradition. Sarah sends Stephanie to grill him about the forged letter and the mystery behind his attack. Philip, of course, insists it wasn’t Xander and swears he didn’t rat Sarah out. But let’s be honest, no one believes him. Meanwhile, Xander is out here rebuilding his empire and trying to undo EJ’s hospital deal. Brady surprisingly says he’d support Xander in a re-vote, which leaves Xander speechless and Sarah suspicious. Over at Titan, Johnny’s trying to be useful, Alex is throwing him into PR and publishing, and Xander's calling Alex “The Hand of the King” like this is some soap opera version of Westeros. Oh wait — it is.
One Big Question Remains
After Johnny’s confession, Roman still wants to know how that gun ended up in the planter with a bullet missing. Johnny swears he didn’t fire it. Marlena thinks maybe EJ hid it, but that doesn’t explain the missing round. So now everyone’s asking the same question: if Johnny didn’t shoot EJ... who did?
