Beyond the Gates Recap - Tuesday, June 17, 2025 | Martin Melts Down, Chelsea Wises Up and Dani’s Secret Is Out (Kinda)

Everyone’s got something to hide on Beyond the Gates, but secrets don’t stay buried for long in Tuesday’s mess of a BTG recap. Chelsea’s in bliss one minute and on the defense the next. Martin’s having full-on breakdowns in public. And Dani? Let’s just say her relationship is not as private as she thinks.

Andre & Dani | BTG, CBS

Martin’s Meltdown Hits the Club

Martin is unraveling and not even trying to be subtle about it. He cornered some poor busboy at the country club, demanding to know if he was part of his mysterious nightmare timeline. The guy’s just trying to do his job, but Martin is convinced he knows something, anything, about that night he can’t stop dreaming about. He forces the guy to repeat a line from his dream, desperate for a lightbulb moment, but it falls flat. No spark. Just more panic and a trail of sweat as Martin flees the scene like a man possessed.

Naomi tries to pull some cousinly compassion out of him, but he brushes her off like lint on a suit. Back home, he’s barely in the door before Smitty starts poking at his emotional wounds. Smitty's on edge too after a cryptic convo with Marcel, which clearly hit a nerve. When Martin finally admits his nightmares never left and might somehow involve Marcel, Smitty demands the full story. But Martin claims Vernon told him staying quiet is the safest move. Right. Because bottling trauma always works out.

Chelsea and Madison Hit a Snag

Chelsea wakes up living her best post-date life after a night with Madison that clearly didn’t involve a lot of sleep. But when she reaches for her phone like it’s a lifeline, Madison pumps the brakes. She doesn’t love how fast Chelsea grabbed for her screen, worried she’s already on social media updating followers about their sex life. Oof.

Chelsea promises she’s not sharing their business and explains that, hello, social media is literally her job. Likes and followers pay the bills. Madison gets it, but she still thinks real connection happens when you log off and show up in person. Chelsea agrees, but she’s still not putting that phone in a drawer anytime soon.

Later, Chelsea tells Dani she’s falling hard for Madison. Dani’s over the moon about her daughter being happy with a woman, but she’s also got her therapist hat on. She reminds Chelsea that her last relationship didn’t exactly end in a fairytale, and she shouldn’t leap into this one headfirst. Chelsea insists she’s pacing herself. Dani suggests dinner to meet Madison. Chelsea, never one to miss a beat, claps back with a dinner invitation for Dani’s new man, not knowing that man is Andre. Someone cue the awkward violin.

Andre and Dani Play Hide and Seek with the Truth

Andre and Dani are still doing their secret couple dance, but Andre is ready to cha-cha into the spotlight. He’s convinced Kat and Chelsea already figured them out, which sends Dani into a full-blown panic. She’s spiraling about Nicole cutting them off, Chelsea judging her, and people whispering about her dating someone barely older than her daughter. Andre tries to soothe her, but then casually drops that he already told Ted about them. She flips.

He insists it was an accident and tells her their thing doesn’t have to be such a big deal. But Dani, carrying all that baggage from her disaster with Bill, isn’t trying to get played again. She’s tired of being treated like a temporary fix. Andre swears she’s the only one he’s been with and begs her to stop hiding. Surprisingly, she agrees. Maybe it is time to let the world know.

Except Chelsea walks in, and any confession Dani might have planned gets buried under her daughter’s own love bomb. Timing really is everything.

Ashley’s Proposal Panic and Derek’s Bruised Ego

Ashley is on a tequila-fueled rant after Derek dropped a marriage proposal on her. She barges into the country club and slams Naomi with a verbal subpoena: how could she let this happen? Naomi, ever the pragmatic friend, says she was just trying to prevent a ring that would make Ashley’s finger turn green. Helpful? Not really. Shots are poured. Tensions are lowered. Apologies are exchanged.

Ashley finally admits she’s not ready. Naomi senses the hesitation might be less about timing and more about someone else. Is Ashley catching feelings outside the relationship? Because excuses are starting to sound a lot like distractions.

Meanwhile, Derek is licking his wounds at Orphey Gene’s, trying to make sense of it all with Jacob. He’s not buying the "it’s not you, it’s me" routine. And when Andre strolls in looking like he already knows everything, Derek’s not having it. Especially since it seems Ashley’s been talking to Andre more than she’s talking to him. Suspicious? Just a tad.

Doug Claps Back While Vanessa Keeps the Upper Hand

Back at the casino, Vanessa and Joey are still hot and heavy, but Doug crashes the afterglow party with his own list of grievances. Joey jokes about Vanessa putting the screws to him, but Doug isn’t laughing. He wants a private word with his wife, which goes about as well as you’d expect. Doug throws some serious sass her way, questioning if she’s already given in to Joey’s sleaze. Vanessa reminds him she’s only in this mess because of his screw-ups.

When Joey returns, Doug proposes a new deal: a 20 percent commission, split equally, plus a veiled threat that practically screams he’s got dirt and he’s not afraid to use it. Joey doesn’t like it, but too bad. The Richardsons are finally playing the game and they’re not playing to lose.
