Things are getting extra on Beyond the Gates as Ashley lets Derek down hard, Chelsea and Madison heat up faster than takeout and Martin gives us a country club scene you have to see to believe. Ashley’s Answer Sends Derek Running

Ashley showed up thinking Derek might be calling it quits. Instead, he dropped a proposal like it was 2012, and she reacted like he’d just announced they were moving to Mars. When he whipped out that ring, her face said it all. Shock, confusion, existential dread. Derek hit her with romantic declarations about “forever” and “belonging together,” and Ashley hit back with “I can’t.” Not “not right now.” Not “maybe someday.” Just flat-out no.

Derek didn’t take it well. He accused her of stringing him along, and Ashley tried to explain that living together post-accident was rushed, not romantic. He wasn’t buying it. By the time he left Uptown, he was questioning if they even wanted the same things. Cue the waterworks and Andre, who magically popped in just in time with sympathy and a shoulder. Ashley told him about the failed proposal, calling it less of a question and more of an ultimatum. And honestly, she’s not wrong.

Martin Goes Full CSI Over a Busboy

At the country club, Martin was ready to throw hands over what might’ve been a simple “Are you ready for the check?” But no, Martin swears the waiter whispered, “Let’s see what color’s your money,” a phrase that sends him into full paranoia mode. Vernon tries to calm him down, but Martin is spiraling. What if this is the same guy from all those years ago?

As if possessed, Martin corners the poor busboy, slams him against a wall, and demands answers. “Who the hell are you?” he growls, giving us the kind of soap-opera cliffhanger that deserves its own trailer.

Chelsea and Madison Heat Things Up

Chelsea and Madison have chemistry you could bottle and sell. Between flirty bites of Chinese food and studio tours, sparks flew. Chelsea opened up about her past, her queerness, and her not-so-stellar history with trust (hey, Bill). Madison shared her coming-out story, and before you could say “fortune cookie,” they were making out and lighting candles.

Let’s be clear: this wasn’t a fling. Chelsea made it known she wasn’t experimenting. She was ready for something real. Madison’s cookie literally told her to “Go for it,” and she absolutely did.

Vanessa Schools Joey in Power Plays

Joey thought he could outmaneuver Vanessa after seducing her at the same table he used to hustle her husband. Cute. He wanted to use her real estate firm to launder cash, offering her a tiny cut while paying off Doug’s gambling debt. But Vanessa was two steps ahead. She flipped the whole game on him, demanding double the commission and a clean slate for Doug or she’d blow up Joey’s entire operation with one phone call.

Joey thought she was bluffing, but Vanessa doesn’t bluff. She runs the table. Instead of hashing it out with lawyers, they sealed the deal with another steamy table session. Because why not?

Smitty Makes Marcel Sweat

Smitty came for an interview and left with dirt. He knew too much. About Jacob, about the Dupree case, about Joey. When he pulled out a yacht club photo and asked Marcel how their paths never crossed, Marcel got visibly twitchy. Smitty pushed harder, and suddenly Marcel was the one calling it quits. He even warned Smitty not to throw stones if he’s got skeletons in his own walk-in closet.
