GH Recap | Sonny Heads Into Surgery & Molly Finds Kristina's Commitment Papers - Thursday, April 24, 2025 [SPOILERS]

Welcome back to another chaotic day in General Hospital's Port Charles where the secrets are piping hot, the egos are fragile, and absolutely no one knows how to mind their own business. Thursday’s GH full episode recap serves everything from emergency room shenanigans to unexpected discoveries and yes—Sonny Corinthos heading into surgery with Carly clinging to hope like it’s a Louis Vuitton clutch on clearance. Oh, and Molly finds the commitment papers Alexis drew up for Christina. Let's get into this!

Molly | GH, ABC

Brook Lynn, That Horse Isn’t the Only One Kicking

Brook Lynn barges into the ER like she’s got backstage passes and drags in poor Cody, who’s just been yeeted by Tracy’s horse. And listen, Cody might’ve taken a hoof to the ribs, but Brook Lynn’s sass hits harder. She doesn’t wait for a doctor (because naturally, Lucas is off duty like it’s casual Friday), and instead forces Cody to ice himself down, snatching his shirt open like she’s auditioning for an ER reboot. He’s brooding, she’s barking, and they’re both clearly in need of couples counseling and a calendar reminder that this is a hospital, not their personal drama lounge.

But oh, the drama doesn’t stop there. Cody’s all in his feelings because he thinks Brook Lynn’s mad he spilled to Lulu about her baby business. Spoiler: she’s not mad at him—she’s livid at Lulu for poking around like it’s her full-time job. Brook Lynn makes it crystal clear: she’s not about to let Lulu weaponize her uterus for a story.

Molly, Paperwork Princess, Finds a Bombshell

Meanwhile, Molly—forever the queen of folders and unsolicited wisdom—has her hands full. She’s wheeling Ric around like he’s the king of the hospital floor and reflecting on how traumatizing his accident was. Of course, Cody gets a shoutout as a recent bestie, which is honestly the most shocking twist of all. Ric, being Ric, brings up Ava. Molly’s not having it and reminds him that Ava is basically trouble with a fabulous wardrobe. She warns her dad not to let Ava lead him down another morally bankrupt alley.

But things take a wild turn when Molly, in the middle of channeling her inner paralegal, helps Diane pick up some papers that fall out of her bag. Fast forward to Molly working near Cody (who, by the way, is just sitting alone in a wheelchair in a hospital hallway like an abandoned character in a soap opera), and she accidentally opens Diane’s envelope. Surprise: inside are Kristina’s commitment papers. Cue the shocked face and commercial break.

Lulu’s Got Questions, Brook Lynn’s Got Smoke

Over in investigative journalist land, Lulu is on a mission. She invites Lucas over for an interview he thinks is about medicine—cute—but turns out it’s all about adoption. Lucas handles it like a pro, giving wholesome soundbites about how adoption is a beautiful thing, how he always felt chosen, and how meeting his biological dad didn’t change the fact that Tony was his real father.

Lucas | GH

Lulu is scribbling notes like she’s drafting the next Pulitzer winner while also coaxing emotional gems from her son, Rocco, who reminds her that he prayed for her to come back. Heartstrings? Consider them tugged.

Rocco & Lulu | GH

But Lulu’s also playing with fire, digging into Brook Lynn’s past and trying to uncover details about her child and what adoption agency was involved. Brook Lynn shows up later at Lulu’s door, all fire and fury, ready to shut that operation down. Whatever Lulu’s writing, Brook Lynn is not here for it, and you better believe this war isn’t over.

Marco Lands a Job, But Not Without a Warning

Let’s talk about Marco. He walks into the Miller and Davis office thinking he’s just getting some onboarding paperwork and ends up nearly stumbling into a Corinthos-sized mess. Diane and Alexis are basically giving him a crash course in how not to get anyone killed while working for them. They grill him about his connections to Jenz Sidwell (his dad—awkward), and Marco promises he’ll step back if any conflicts come up with Sonny or Jason. Diane begrudgingly hands him a stack of starter files and hopes he doesn’t blow it.

And what does he do next? Picks up Kristina’s commitment paperwork and starts reading it like it’s a weekend novel. Diane swoops in and tells him, in no uncertain terms, to keep his nose out of it. Guess where that paperwork ends up? That’s right—in Molly’s bag. Oh, the messy irony.

Later, Marco catches up with Lucas and casually announces that he’s officially hired. Lucas is thrilled and offers dinner. Looks like romance might be brewing—if Marco can keep his eyes on the cases and not the client dirt.

Jason, Danny & a Batting Cage Heart-to-Heart

Jason gets some wholesome dad time with Danny at the batting cage. The moment could’ve been a breather from all the chaos, but this is General Hospital—no one gets peace. Danny confesses that he’s struggling with Rocco moving in with Lulu part-time and Scout being away. The kid’s grieving, and Jason, in his quiet, emotionally constipated way, tells him it’s okay to feel everything. They bond, they hug, and somewhere in the distance, Sam’s ghost of parental aspirations is smiling.

Danny & Jason | GH

Dante eventually brings Rocco by, and he and Jason agree that these boys need each other. Honestly, it’s the only stable friendship in this town. Somebody get these kids a therapist and a playdate calendar.

Sonny Heads Into Surgery & Everyone Panics

Let’s not forget the centerpiece of the entire episode—Sonny and his ticking time-bomb heart. He’s in LA with Carly, and guess who drops in? Brick. Yes, that Brick. He’s there to keep Sonny grounded and remind him that Carly is always right (as if she needed that ego boost).

In a moment that’s both adorable and a little awkward, Donna calls Sonny via Kristina’s phone and proceeds to ask him what he’s wearing. Sonny, bless him, tries to explain he’s just getting a “check-up,” like it’s not major surgery. Kristina looks like she’s about to fall apart, but she pulls it together for Donna’s sake.

Carly & Sonny | GH

The doctor soon drops the bomb: they’re repairing damage from a gunshot wound that happened 25 years ago. Carly recalls Sonny flatlining on the table back then, and she’s not here for any repeat performances. She tells him he will survive, because she said so. He agrees, because arguing with Carly is like yelling at a hurricane.

Sonny is wheeled into surgery while Carly freaks out in the waiting room and Brick does his best to calm her down. Meanwhile, back home, Donna and Kristina make a get-well card and Alexis tells Kristina to stop living in the past and start welcoming the good stuff.
