Victor Claps Back, Diane Plays the Distraction Game and Summer Can’t Hide Her Feelings

Buckle up, The Young and the Restless fans, because Genoa City is serving up drama hotter than a double-shot espresso! Victor is back on his nonsense, Diane is playing distraction tactics like a pro, and Summer is proving once again that she might just be her mother’s daughter. Let’s dive into today’s full episode recap, where power moves, messy love lives, and good old-fashioned Abbott vs. Newman warfare take center stage.

Diane’s Big Plan—and Jack’s Big Doubts

Jack & Diane share a romantic evening | CBS/Sony

Over in the ever-classy jazz lounge, Diane has a master plan for revamping the Abbott family home, but Jack is about as excited about it as Phyllis would be at a Diane Jenkins Appreciation Luncheon. He’s got a million questions and about as much trust in this process as we have in Kyle’s decision-making skills. Diane, ever the charmer, reassures Jack that her vision is solid, but when she throws in a surprise renovation twist, our boy Jack nearly has a meltdown. A revolving door? Diane, girl, what is this—Jabot or a shopping mall?

But before Jack can spiral too hard, Diane has the ultimate Abbott-approved strategy: distraction. A little slow dancing, a little seduction, and suddenly, Jack’s more focused on their hotel suite than on bulldozers. Classic Diane.

Kyle’s Date with Destiny (And Victor’s Disapproval)

Meanwhile, at Society, Kyle struts in like a man with a plan. He’s meeting Claire and her grandparents for dinner, and let’s be real—nothing about this screams “relaxing meal.” Summer catches wind of the meetup and instantly goes into full-on concerned ex-wife mode. She can act like she’s indifferent all she wants, but Daniel sees through her faster than Victor sees through a weak business deal.

Victor disapproves of Kyle & Claire

Claire is bringing Nikki as a buffer (smart girl), but let’s face it—there is no buffer strong enough to soften Victor Newman’s judgmental gaze. When Kyle finally sits down with Victor, the man wastes no time. No appetizers, no pleasantries—just straight to business. Victor gives Kyle the equivalent of a mafia warning: he’ll allow this relationship to continue for now, but let’s not get it twisted—Kyle’s still on probation. Claire tries to stand up for her man, but Victor has already decided Kyle isn’t good enough for yet another one of his granddaughters. Kyle, bless his heart, tries to negotiate, but Victor shuts him down so hard he might as well have flipped the table. There’s nothing you can do to accomplish that goal. Ouch. Someone get this man some ice for that burn.

Summer’s Jealousy Is Showing (And Daniel Calls Her Out)

Back across the room, Summer and Daniel have a front-row seat to the Kyle-Victor smackdown. And while Summer insists she’s just worried about Harrison’s wellbeing, Daniel isn’t buying what she’s selling. She’s hovering like a helicopter mom who just happens to be extra interested in her ex’s love life. Daniel, ever the voice of reason, reminds her that Kyle is a grown man who can handle himself—except, you know, when he can’t.

Summer, of course, insists she’s not jealous. But let’s be honest: if she rolled her eyes any harder, they’d pop right out of her head.

Victor’s Revenge Plot: Jabot Beware

Meanwhile, at the ranch, Victor is back to doing what he does best—plotting. Michael tries (and fails) to talk some sense into him, but the mustache is on a mission. His newest plan? Take down Jabot by embedding his spies into the company. If Jack thought he was out of the woods, he better think again. Victor’s not done making the Abbotts miserable, and this time, Kyle’s involvement makes it extra personal.

Michael warns Victor that going after Jabot (again) might not be the best move, but Victor doesn’t care. Jack Abbott is his forever nemesis, and apparently, this war will rage on until the end of time.

Final Thoughts: The Calm Before the Next Storm

So, what have we learned today?

  • Jack still doesn’t trust Diane’s grand plans (and for good reason).

  • Victor is making sure Kyle knows his place (and it’s not at his granddaughter’s side).

  • Summer’s jealousy is impossible to hide (no matter how hard she tries).

  • And Victor’s never-ending battle against Jabot is back in full swing.

With Nikki trying to keep the peace, Michael keeping secrets, and Summer about to make a big decision about Kyle, things are about to get even messier in Genoa City. Stay tuned, Y&R fans—this ride is just getting started!
